Aphorisms II: The Wrath Of Cliches

Since I first posted about aphorisms, I’ve had this nagging feeling I’d forgotten a couple. I’ve had time to remember them, so I thought I do a followup:

A difference that makes no difference is no difference.

If you loan a friend $50.00 and you never hear from them again, it was probably worth it.

Expenses always rise to meet income.

Perception is often more important than reality. People react to what they see, not to the way things are.

An armed society is a polite society.

God gives us our relatives. Thank God we can choose our friends.

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

If your only tool is a hammer, after a while all your problems tend to look like nails.

There’s nothing common about common sense.

Life is a sexually-transmitted disease that is 100% fatal.

As before, feel free to kick in your own.

J.
