DotComGuy was famous on the Internet for a brief shinning momemt at the height of the tech bubble in the late 1990's. He legally changed his name to DotComGuy and spent one year locked in his house "online" living throught the delivery services of other future e-commerce flameouts.

Long since forgotten, DotComGuy is in the news for finally going back to his given name.
Dallas (AP) - The man who legally changed his name to DotComGuy changed it back Tuesday - to Mitch Maddox. In case you think DotComGuy has foresworn the bubble mentality, it's worth noting that he values his domain and trademark at a minimum of $100,000.In 2000, Maddox spent one year at home and living off purchases made on the Internet. Video footage of his life was streamed on the Internet 24 hours a day and attracted worldwide media attention.
He later got married and on Tuesday he and his wife, Anne, appeared in court to legally change their names to Maddox.
Meanwhile, an auction for the DotComGuy name and the domain name dotcomguy-dot-com was to end in April, but it's been extended - and it's now on e-Bay.
The real news in this story is that DotComGeek found an actual real live woman...
