Strengthen The Good - A Call To Action

This past May, Alan made an open call at The Command Post to counter the evil of Nick Berg's murder by strengthening the good of Susan Tom and her kids. Readers responded by raising $15,000 for the family. Alan has been working to make the concept (described here) a permanent example of blogs and blog readers banding together to do good.

He's created, Strengthen The Good, which is described as a network of bloggers committed to raising awareness for small charities around the world. Every three weeks they will highlight a new "micro-charity" - a small, inspiring charity, one with a real face and where $1 makes a difference. Bloggers in the STG network link to that post, sending traffic, and awareness, the charity''s way.

The initial call for help relates to Hurricane Charley. Do what you can, and spread the word.
