An attack -- or even an attempted attack -- by Islamic extremists on Saudi Arabia's oil sector would have disastrous consequences on the world market and the price per barrel, analysts warn. Of more than 700 people arrested in the course of the last six months in Saudi Arabia, dozens had been part of cells charged with preparing attacks against oil sites, according to authorities in Riyadh.

Do I have this right?
The former president who pleaded GUILTY to charges of PERJURY is accusing the opposition of LYING?
Am I the only one who just suffered a failure of the hypocrisy meter after it broke though the high peg and wrapped around?
What sheer and unmitigated gall.
Then again, what does it say about the candidates relationship with the truth when a convicted perjurer is championing his cause?

That's too funny, but the NY Times gets off a good one of their own.
The sharp criticisms by Mr. Clinton, who has remained relatively quiet during the presidential campaign, were noteworthy, given the long tradition among former presidents of refraining from waging attacks on sitting presidents.
That's pretty darn funny too. Carter has done little but attack Bush and Clinton has gone back and forth. One day he attacks the next day he plays nice.
The left has become parody-proof.

STOP THE TAPE! This is just another pathetic attempt to invoke a semblance of moral *high ground* into the debate. You may not remember this but I do (not ONLY is it seared in my memory, I recorded it and kept the transcript) -- this is the same man who quoted 1 Corinthians 2:9 in his acceptance speech at his first convention, saying: "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, WHAT WE CAN BUILD."
Here are the actual words in the KJV (pick your OWN version, it won't change much): "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."
Just a *stretch* perhaps? Or maybe a *misquote*? Nope. I wrote the Clinton campaign shortly after his speech and took them to task with quite a lengthy letter. Their reply . . . "Thank you for your support."
Just another example of what I have come to call, "Demotransmogrification." It must be some kind of special seminar that Ted Kennedy teaches in his basement on the weekends. It certainly permeates the Left.
