Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife Lynne, stand together, after he addressed delegates at Madison Square Garden during the Republican National Convention in New York, Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004.
The general opinion on blogger row is the Cheney really delivered the goods this evening. Frankly I was a bit surprised by the ease with which Cheney deliver the speech. The content was fiery and persuasive. He sure set the bar pretty high for Bush.

Update: Alan from Command Post catches a protester getting removed. There was a rumor floating around that the person had a gun, but I'm pretty sure that will turn out to be erroneous information. AP identifies the woman as Gail Murphy.

Dick Cheney is a true gentleman; he speaks softly, strongly making points, never wavers, and even with a few errors (I make them all the time like trying to put two words making one) he delivers his message in a calm, thoughtful, dedicated way. He's not loud, obnoxious, off his head but knows what he's talking about, says it with conviction and honesty and with such integrity, that you can't question him or his motives. He is a good man, with lots of experience, done so much, that he is an asset to the team. He and his wife are gentle but strong and they have to host every dignitary that comes here to the United States and they do it with grace. We are lucky to have him.

Four more years of corruption. What country do you think they'll attack next? I mean, so that Haliburton gets the no auction contract. Haliburton, the company that Cheney is the largest shareholder of. You know. Corruption.
