Yeah, his comments were aimed at "the critics" but we all know who he meant.
Arnold Schwarzenegger stood up at a nominating convention and called the other candidate a "girlie man" -- and got away with it.
I think I can safely predict you'll never see that gain.

Oh, I think you'll see it again. Whenever Arnold says something - he's had two major lines right now - and as much as people might make fun of it, he turns it around and uses it for a good purpose. Anyone watching Arnold - JUSTIN HART - knew exactly who the "girlie men" were that he was discussing. I absolutely LOVED it! And so did everyone else. That man commands respect and it may be illegal now for a non-naturalized citizen to become president someday, but you can bet that will change sometime in the future.

Sadly, I missed Arnold giving his speech but I copied the text and sent it to everyone I know (who probably missed it as well). I think it was wonderful!
And it is about time that a Republican can say something ("girlie-men") without it being headline fodder for every major newspaper. I think that may stem from his refusal to apologize the first time he said it.

THE REPUBLICANS MIGHT WIN
As I watched Arnold's speech last night, compelling, inspiring, entertaining, and not a word of it true, it occurred to me (maybe for the first time this time around) that the Republicans have a great advantage over Kerry and the Democrats, namely, they have no shame and are willing to say anything to get what they want. Let's pray for a happy ending. I fear the worst.
