Who Is The New York Times Deep Throat?

All roads lead to Josh Marshall's little known Asia expert Chris Nelson***. Outside of the frequent mentions on Talking Points Memo as a influential source, he's pretty much unknown to Google. His newsletter has a mysterious habit of only being quoted at length on Talking Points Memo.

When they look back on the history of the Kerry Hail Mary, they can plant the seeds of the flameout right on Talking Points Memo's expert's doorstep.

And what the hell happened at 60 Minutes? They had a story in the can, ready to run Sunday.

Was it cold feet or scadenfreude?

*** Little known to the blogosphere. If you're a DC based Asian policy analyst you've probably heard of him...
