Tonight I've been on a bit of a roll. This is my fifth piece in about an hour, and I think they've been all pretty good.
But there's a bit of a historical trend around these parts. Whenever I start churning out the material, it seems that shortly thereafter Kevin and/or Paul break some huge story that just completely blows my pieces figuratively out of the water and literally off the front page of this site.
I really don't mind it too much -- the scoops they come up with are always impressive as hell and vastly more important than my observations and commentary -- but it gets a little frustrating after a while.
But with the election this close (both in time and in polling numbers), I think our side needs all the help it can get. So here I've tossed several pieces on to the pile. If history is any guide, that means one of my colleagues here will break another big story that could put a huge hurting on Kerry's chances of winning.
I'm somewhat proud of the pieces I've written tonight, but if I have to "take one for the team" and watch them get smothered by some huge Kerry expose', I guess at least they'll have fallen for a worthy cause.
OK, Kevin, Paul -- I've tossed down the gauntlet. BRING IT ON!
J.
Update: "No mas... no mas..."
Paul, I mean this in the kindest way possible. You suck.

Paul, what you call "jinxing" I call "engineering a win-win situation for myself."
This is about the time when the site suffers a selective meltdown and deletes every single one of my postings...

-OT- (barely)
- Speaking of winning and losers...Erm...losing...Like that segue'... *smirkle*
- I checked out the Drudge refernced article on the
fabulous Fabiola Armitage, the florida Kerryite whacko who thinks she'd on a mission from G_D to personally ride the entire state of Bush/Cheney signs. Her reasoning as usual is somewhere out beyond the orbit of Pluto which is entirely to be expected. But something cught my eye glancing through the article which I found, as Arte Johnson would say, vedy vedy in-tel-esting...
- It seems she has made the headlines before. No not for scaring the neighborhood kids, although her pic could certainly do that on a dark evening. It seems according to the article:
"Armitage is a Kerry supporter and a strong believer in stem cell research. She's featured in an advertisement urging Floridians to vote against Amendment 3 on this year's ballot. The amendment would cap how much money a lawyer can make from a medical malpractice lawsuit."....
- Am I reading this right that the lefties are actually lawyer lovers. No wonder sKerry is running away from that issue and promoting Canada like health care to avoid the real prolblems behind the whole National issue....
- On another front I've been a bit puzzeled by the fact that the WPO polling is in conflict with everyone else on the Bush/Kerry/Nader thing. But then I happened to notice the side poll pie chart dealing with the "most important voter issue" and it all became crytal clear.....Its a dead givaway as to their demographic sample which they never explain.....
