After watching "Desperate Housewives," I didn't get to turn off the TV quickly enough to avoid "Boston Legal." (Nothing against the show, but it's past my bedtime.) I was shocked to see Rene Auberjonois on the screen alongside William Shatner. It was Star Trek: Deep Space 9's Constable Odo sitting across from Captain Kirk! I immediately went into full geek mode (normally, I'm only cruising at about 80% geek) and pulled together three Star Trek actor trivia questions I thought I'd toss out.
1) What TV series featured two actors who have both been regulars on a Star Trek series?
2) What TV series starred a Star Trek regular and a Star Trek recurring character?
3) What is the secret connection between Star Trek and The Addams Family? (Here's a hint: I expect John Kerry to show up on Star Trek: Enterprise any day now for this very reason.)
J.
Update: Mark L. Gets #2 with T. J. Hooker (starring Captain Kirk and Vic Fontaine). And Babylon 5 wasn't on my list, but it did star a recurring Trek actor (Andreas Katsulas) and featured Trek regulars as recurring characters (Walter Koenig and Majel Barrett), so it fits the theme I was going for (but forgot.) Mark L also gets bonus points for Mission: Impossible (I forgot about that), but sorry, David -- no partial credit for incomplete answers. Bob gets the points for finishing the secret link.

The answer to Macker's question is "Planet Earth." I actually saw a part of this movie somewhere recently, and also keyed in on the plotline bein' very close to the same scenario presented in Andromeda. Andromeda is still the space ship I most want to own. You can keep any of the Star Trek vessels.
Oh, Macker, my memory is not so good, but what with the info I remembered, it was easy enough to find the answer via imdb. ;)

Mentioning Worf, He (Michael Dorn) was also a regular on CHiPs as a fellow officer of John and Ponch.
The guy who played Mr. Homm, Lwoxana Troi's valet, was one of the 2 murdered Arquilians in Men in Black. He was also in an eipsode of Voyager, several Twin Peaks, Babylon 5, Charmed, and was indeed Lurch in all the recent Addams Family movies (1991 and later). Ted Cassidy was Lurch and Thing in the original Addams Family sitcom, and played in 3 Trek episodes.
Rene Auberjonois's character in SG-1 was a one-time deal; he died at the end by walking into the stargate with an iris deployed at the other end. Oops. He was Benson's assistant or something. Benson was also the debut for Jerry Seinfeld.
It looks like Shimmerman's character on SG-1 was also a one-shot deal. I only see one mention for the series in his IMDB listing. He also did one episode of Sledge Hammer! Anyone remember that old sitcom? "Trust me, I know what I'm doing!"
John DeLancie's character on SG-1 just got killed, sucked into space when he tried to steal the Prometheus. Oops.
Final note, on the Planet Earth connection: a little IMDB'ing there showed that it was a sequel to Genesis II, both of which had as their main character a NASA scientist named Dylan Hunt (2 different actors, though)! Planet Earth also starred Diana Muldaur, who did a stint that the Enterprise-D's CMO, as well as Majel Barrett in both, as well as just about every other Roddenberry undertaking.

My contribution to this orgy of geekiness:
Star Trek veterans David Warner (movies V and VI, and a two-part TNG episode), Michael Dorn (a Worf is a Worf, of courf, of courf) and Dwight Schultz (TNG and Voyager's Lt. Barclay) all have done voices for the "Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn" PC game. Warner was the main villian, Dorn was uncredited as the deity (and main character's father) Bhaal, and Schultz did at least one voice, possibly more.
