Kerry is also going to Iraq... (Below threshold)1. Posted by firstbrokenangel | December 13, 2004 8:26 AM | Score: 0 (0 votes cast)
Kerry is also going to Iraq to thank the troops for their service - I wonder how he has the nerve to do and I wonder how he'll be received. It'll be interesting.
Cindy
If you want a late christmas present, I probably could come up with one. :-)

Well, if you want some news, Kerry is STILL "not demanding a recount in OH" --- well, at least that is what he claims.

Folks, it's not all about your fussy partisan tantrums. After all, we should be getting ready for the butt-buggering that 60 million Americans elected Dubya to give us. Take it nice and quiet, now:
LINK
Let’s see: First, the GOP drastically cut taxes for the very richest among us; next, they made it harder for working class families to qualify for college grants; now, they plan to cut Medicaid and Medicare; and, for the coup de grâce, they're going to cut Social Security.
Don't worry, be happy! Dubya's gonna die rich no matter what happens, and we should all love the overflowing corporate welfare that he promulgates even while cutting college grants, Medicaid and Veterans benefits. I'm feelin' mighty mighty relieved to know that the richest 1% of my country's gonna be just FINE even though our President has for two years ignored the fact that our troops in Iraq are dying because they don't have armor for their vehicles! I just know y'all feel the same way!

"Folks, it's not all about your fussy partisan tantrums. After all, we should be getting ready for the butt-buggering that 60 million Americans elected Dubya to give us."
Yes, that's EXACTLY what the Republicans want. Precisely.
"Let’s see: First, the GOP drastically cut taxes for the very richest among us"
Or EVERYBODY who pays taxes. But don't let reality slow up this train o' yours.
"next, they made it harder for working class families to qualify for college grants"
Wow, I totally missed that part of Bush's platform. I suppose you have some semblance of proof of this.
"now, they plan to cut Medicaid and Medicare; and, for the coup de grâce, they're going to cut Social Security."
Missed the Presceiption benefit, eh? It's a little costly for a "cut".
As for Social Security --- you can have a small cut or a 100% cut when it goes belly-up. Your choice.
Personally, I wouldn't pay the obscene rate people will have to pay in a few years when the fundamental flaws in this Ponzi scheme becomes unmanageable.
We can make small changes now --- or massive ones later. Take your pick.
"Don't worry, be happy! Dubya's gonna die rich no matter what happens, and we should all love the overflowing corporate welfare that he promulgates even while cutting college grants"
Let me guess --- you're not going to prove the "cut" in college grants, are you?
"Medicaid and Veterans benefits."
You won't prove that either, will you?
"I'm feelin' mighty mighty relieved to know that the richest 1% of my country's gonna be just FINE even though our President has for two years ignored the fact that our troops in Iraq are dying because they don't have armor for their vehicles! I just know y'all feel the same way!"
Except they have been rectifying the armor problem for a while (you can blame Army regulations and other problems for the shortage).
But, please, don't let reality get in your way. I know you haven't thus far --- but don't start now.

Sorry MikeSC, I don't feel the same way - what Iraq needs are strykers and that is one item they don't have enough of - the stryker was made for this type of guerilla warfare and everyone in it is always safe.

As to the rest of it, Mike, I'll be the one to suffer; I've been on full disability since 1988 and fight every day of my life just to stay alive. Now my heart is getting worse, my kidneys are having problems and when my time is up my time is up. That's the cycle and I'm still fairly young to middle aged, I guess. So what will I do if all those awful things fall on my head? I'll worry about it when I cross that bridge since I have enough to worry about now.
