Budweiser will get more mileage out of an add slot they did not pay for than all the ones they did. There is already a buzz building.
Budweiser 'wardrobe' ad pulledBrewer won't air Super Bowl commercial poking fun at Janet Jackson's 'wardrobe malfunction' in '04.
NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Anheuser-Busch is pulling an advertisement planned for this year's Super Bowl that would have poked fun at last year's infamous "wardrobe malfunction" that exposed Janet Jackson's breast during the halftime show, according to a published report.
The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that the ad would have shown - spoiler deleted -
The newspaper said the halftime show is not shown in the ad. Instead, it shows the stagehand watching the show on television as the crowd reacts and a game announcer chimes in: "Wow, that's something you don't see every day."
But the newspaper says Anheuser-Busch (Research) pulled the ad after consultation with both the National Football League, which denounced last year's halftime show, and Fox, which is broadcasting this year's game Feb. 6.
"Why take the risk? All you need is one person to be offended," Bob Lachky, an Anheuser-Busch vice president, told the newspaper. "Some people don't want to be reminded of the incident."
You could go to the Bud website, put in your date of birth, wait for a bunch of stuff to load, go thru a bunch of menus etc... or could can peek below - we've captured it for you...

too funny. I bet sales would soar if they had t balls enough to run it. I don't like Bud but I loved this spot.
"some people don't want to be reminded of the incident"
What the hell? They must be talking about the closet crowd who preach morality while out in the daylight and engage in (gasp) erotica at night. To those that screamed about their children having witnessed it I have this to say.....
So kids sees a boob. Big friggin deal. Most children are breastfed for almost a year aren't they? Seems to be they would feel euphoria at the reminder of days gone by.
Our youth today see more in school during six hours that they did on this halftime show. Most thought it was great. As for the younger ones, see above statement "So kids see a boob..."
Give me a break...

Now we know one of the lingerie trade's most highly guarded secrets, that's got to be the way crotchless panties are made.

I think it would be one of the favorites

I have two major problems with this statement. First, I hate this attitude of appealing to the most easily offended people in society. That's what gets us political correctness and the like. Second, someone could be offended by almost any one of Budweiser's ads.
Anyway, I think it's funny and they should run it.

It's offensive that they think that Americans are so hard up that we can't handle a joke about something that wasn't that big of a deal in the first place. For those who are offended by either the half-time show or the Bud commercial....I bet you still say I'll show you mine if you show me yours. Grow up!
