WAYNE, N.J. (AP) - A 21-year-old college business major living in this northern New Jersey community has proven a basic lesson of marketing: Sex sells. Courtney Van Dunk posted a bikini-clad picture of herself on eBay about two weeks ago, auctioning off space on her body for advertisers.Oddly there's no listing for plastic surgeons in New Jersey under the names "moderate exercise" or "healthy eating" ...The auction ended Thursday with a winning bid from a New Jersey wine retailer offering $11,300 for a month's worth of advertising. Van Dunk, though, says the offer has been retracted, but she's confident that she's made contacts with enough companies to still earn some cash.
When she finds a buyer, Van Dunk plans to place temporary tattoos on her abdomen while she's at the beach, or on other body parts when she's at the mall, sporting events, amusement parks and other public places. Her butt and chest are off limits.
Van Dunk credits moderate exercise and healthy eating for the fit figure that has earned worldwide interest.
Much like the Virgin Mary toast lady, Van Dunk is drunk off the attention and is back with a new auction (that started this evening) selling the same temporary advertisement space for a different month.
Predictably she's started blogging as well. Someone alert Arianna Huffington that a new "celebrity" is available...
Update: In case you had problems loading the larger versions of the pictures, they're fixed now.

Looks like this site has been hacked, when I clicked on the pictures to enlarge, I was directed to a picture of Baghdad Bob spewing some horse crap.
Who else got that?

Uh, which of her body parts does she think will be looked at the most? If she wants to be an effective billboard, then perhaps she should write messages on her bikini.

But women don't have equal opportunity and are paid less than men....
I don't remember the last time I made $11k in a month, for being a bimbo...
God bless freedom and capitalism!

An AOL journal with pink type is not a blog. It's the electronic equivalent of a fuzzy diary written in glitter ink.

I tried posting a comment on her "blog", but AOL wouldn't let me use the screen name "skanksrus". Seems it's already in use.

WOW! $10,000! I wish I could do that.
Maybe I could get the Wildlife Fund to fork over a few bucks if I paste, "Save the whales" on my gut! Or maybe Ronald will sponsor my "I didn't get this fat by eating JUST McDonalds" tattoo.

Something about "selling her body" just seems a tad too much like "twenty dollars first and then you can drive around to the alley".

This seems a tad too much like solicitation for certain services. AOL should take a closer look, or else, cop to being in bed with certain, um, professions.

I thought your E-Bay auction promised "daily" updates of your blog while in Hawaii. How come Golden Palace received multiple updates while Credit Restoration Consultants received very few? From the negative feedback that you received, it seems that the auction winner was very dissatisfied with you. As a matter of fact, the Miami Herald is reporting that Credit Restoration Consultants is filing suit against you for breach of contract. Say it is not so, Courtney. How come you failed to live up to your E-Bay auction promise? What happened to the daily blog updates and pictures? When you failed to post daily updates, people lost interest in you. Do you have any plans to return the money? I'm sure the auction winner would like reimbursement for their losses.
