From The Washington Post's radio column:
Air America, the liberal talk network carried on WWRC-AM (1260), went from bad to nonexistent. After WWRC recorded a mere fraction of a rating point in the spring with syndicated shows from the likes of lefty talkers Al Franken, Janeane Garofalo and Stephanie Miller, Arbitron couldn't detect a measurable listenership for the station this time around.Air America finally made it into the Post, though not with a Howard Kurtz mention of that pesky Air America Scandal.
Kurtz has managed to avoid covering the Air America Scandal completely - I don't think he's ever going to note it. As incentive for readers to force the issue, I'm offering a reward of $50 to the first person who gets him to actually answer a question about the scandal.
Kurtz's next online chat is Monday at noon. I suggest asking him why he hasn't covered the story at all - not even a mention...
If $50 doesn't work I guess I'll just have to keep raising the reward...

Up here in NYC Air America is down 35% from last year. Is it possible to have a negative rating????????????

I urge the greatest care be exercised in this matter. Twinkies should not be so easily tossed about or used as bait - one never knows what one will catch.
I cannot claim to be unfamiliar with the story of a man from Flint, Michigan who maintained to his death that Michael Moore once chewed through the sheet metal of a Hostess truck for one.
Nor, in the category of kick-them-when-down, should one so quickly dismiss the prospect that Franken & Co. will soon be remunerated in twinkies - in liu of pay - a possibility now more than mere conjecture, always assuming that future loans from NY charities will be slow.
So it is with this spirit of sympathy to Air America, and Al, in their time of troubles, that I suggest we all withhold one final twinkie against a meeting of one of the so afflicted.
Armed with a twinkie in your pocket it could then be considered appropriate, on the chance meeting of Al, to grasp the front pockets with both hands and say: "Here Al, bite on this."

Air america is some of the funniest radio I've heard. It's great because these people are so out of touch with reality, and take themselves sooo seriously. Ten minutes is all I can take while driving, it's just too dangerous.

- The emails must be flying back and forth between Garofalo and Franken, and their Jahidist buddies, wondering wtf they were thinking offing one of their own lawyers in the Hussien trial. Since its apparent, listening to these amoral chatter boxes, that their main goal in life is to be as counter-civilized as possible, you come to just view them as lost souls, caught up in media whoring for a living....

You should offer to donate the amount directly to AirAmerica if he brings it up himself. It would probably generate more revenue than anything else they're doing...
