I happened to see a high school textbook with the Clinton Impeachment. The textbook was pretty straightforward and dry about it. No problem with the info that I could see (I didn't vote for Clinton at all both times).
Of course some people may want some more "flava". I say go read a blog for that "flava". :)

While the text may be "dry" and as "straight forward" as possible, how much you want to bet that most of the teachers don't talk about the fact that he LIED UNDER OATH or why he was impeached, but in stead talk about the "EEEEVILLLLL" Republicans who tried to remove a DNC President?

McGraw Hill's "The American Journey" sez:
"Although there was general agreement that the president had lied, Congress was divided over whether his actions justified impeachment," the book says.
Err...Congress divided over impeachment?...he was impeached! Congress was divided (Senate vs House)on whether he should be removed from office!
No wonder our kids are not learning.

Impeachment is still a touchy subject.. it'd be best to let us digest a bit before venturing into this briar patch.

How many teachers will take it one step further and say outright to their students that 'it was a bl*wjob' that got the President impeached? That the President deserves a 'private life', and that Republicans are prudes?
Lack of access to alternative news sources used to mean that people could get away with such obfuscation with little worry of being called out on their lies. One need only read the Starr Report to realize what the impeachment was about, and that is available online to any student who wishes to examine the story more closely. We should be glad for that, as it makes a real difference in balancing out the indoctrination.

Does any of them mention Paula Jones and the sexual harassment charge that it was all really about? You remember, the harassment charge that Clinton settled out of court on rather than prove his innocence in a trial.
