This weeks Weekend Caption Contest™ was as topical as last weeks news. Given that the actual news of the Cheney shooting has already played out, unless you're a DU/Kos kiddie, there's nothing left but the jokes. The assignment this week was to caption the following picture:

(FTLOG) - "And finally tonight, President Bush accompanied Vice President Cheney on a hunting trip. "He just wouldn't take no for an answer," Bush said of Cheney. Oddly, while the President was retrieving a fallen bird, Cheney was heard whistling "Hail to the Chief" as he set his sites on a low-flying bird."

I suspect that Helen's wings are Harpy or batlike, I can't envision them any other way.
I did like Nylda's entry, though.

So long as we're being "nitpicky", the line is:
"Shot through the heart, and you're to BLAME"
Because then it rhymes properly with "name"...

And probably "shot through the pericardium" would have been more accurate, but would have really ruined the meter.
