I was thinking the same thing. The news report I heard emphasized she was released not rescued. Either way, I am happy she is safe and soon to be back with her family.

The blurb on the frontpage of CNN.com says :

"'They never said they would hit me. They never threatened me in any way,' she said in a TV interview after her release."

Yep... all except the part where they threatened to kill you. Does she even remember those videos she made?

Wait a minute...is this an example of the MSM reporting a positive news story from Iraq? This doesn't happen, right? Yeah. If a school opens in Tal Afar on the same day a car bomb kills 50 people, they're supposed to open their various broadcasts and front pages with the words, "New school in Tal Afar serves Freedom Fries..."

Love the anger expressed at her words regarding not being "threatened," by the way. Much enjoy. Would love to see you in exactly the same spot -- oh, exactly that spot, my love -- and then judge you thereafter by every word and turn of phrase, however tired and twisted you might be by the experience.

Of course, no tears shed over the death of Allan Enwiyah... because those kidnappers were so nice and polite!

I'm sure she will have much more to say about the whole thing at a later date. She probably is just relieved to be free again. She'll get asked tougher questions in the future. I just hope she is honest about them!

Lets see how long it takes her to get that book out there and how much money she makes off of it. I hope her friends in Iraq get their cut.

Like anyone is surprised by this? This was a set up from the beginning-a cheap propaganda stunt. This "journalist" has been and I am sure still is one of the islamofascists biggest propagandists.

You're not the only one, but you are one of the stupid ones. She worked for the Christian Science Monitor, which is a 100 year old newspaper (not magazine) that is not "Christian" in it's content or focus.

Also, other hostages have been freed after being held in Iraq for extended periods of time by the same groups (e.g. Minas Ibrahim al-Yusufi).

Glad she is unharmed, but anyone with a brain can tell her whole story smells like fish.

Unless she is dumb as a stone she knew she was being recorded (audio/video0) in her 1st interview in which she exuded TOTAL calmness (must be a great actress huh, maybe give her an Oscar).
