BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - The U.S. military command Thursday released previously unseen images of a video purportedly posted by al-Qaida in Iraq's leader, showing him decked out in American tennis shoes and unable to operate his machine gun.
The video, discovered in a series of raids in April on purported al-Qaida in Iraq safe houses in the Youssifiyah area, 12 miles southwest of Baghdad, gave a view of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi that the Jordanian-born militant chose not to show the world, said Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch, spokesman for the U.S. command.Al-Zarqawi is "very proud of the fact that he can operate this machine gun, and he proclaims that, and all of his close associates are very proud of what Zarqawi does," Lynch said in a briefing in which he played a snippet from the video posted by militants on April 25.
But as the previously unseen video was shown, Lynch mocked al-Zarqawi, suggesting his weapon jammed and he was unable to fix it.
"It's supposed to be automatic fire, he's shooting single shots. Something is wrong with his machine gun, he looks down, can't figure out, calls his friend to come unblock the stoppage and get the weapon firing again," Lynch said.
"This piece you all see as he walks away, he's wearing his black uniform and his New Balance tennis shoes as he moves to this white pickup. And, his close associates around him ... do things like grab the hot barrel of the machine gun and burn themselves," the military spokesman added.
We've also made the video available on YouTube

Come now, you've really got to stop believing your own propaganda.
I concede that it is footage of the Z-man but what does it prove? I mean, isn't this just like Rumsfeld saying that the fact that coalition forces wore protective clothing that this proves there were weapons of mass-destruction in Iraq; as opposed to the whole thing being a mass-distraction.
CIA Agent Bin Laden and panting wannabe Z-man are doing a great job hiding the dissatisfaction of the locals over your blatant resource theft, namely oil and gas.
We here in Australia are becoming more and more gullible too but you guys; bald face lie after bald face lie and you still lap it up...every time!
But then again, your poor troops at the frontline like ours irrespective of our lying government do deserve some moral support. It wasn't their decision to poison Iraq with depleted uranium, drop pretty (food package) yellow cluster bombs or drop new and improved napalm on the civilian population. No!, that was the cowardly three, Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld and even they had to get someone else to pull the trigger. Mighty, mighty...

2.) He's kinda chubby, Not exactly the stealthy 'chameleon' he claims to be. More like a chubby, cherubic chameleon. (Pardon the aliteration.)
3.) What a weapons expert! Hello, Abu, it's a S.A.W. (Squad Automatic Weapon, likely captured in some ambush). You should (cough) know how to clear a malfunction on your own. P.S. The gun was pointing at the cameraman as you cleared it! Dumbass.
4.) Ooooo, you're firing at....sand! Such a tough guy. And his buddies are cheering him on. "Look at all the sand you hit, Abu!"
5.) Predator operators: Be on the lookout for a white, half-ton pick-up. Upon spotting it, release Hellfire missles at will. (Methinks the cameraman wasn't supposed to get a shot of the truck in the video. But this too is to be expected from a man that can't clear his own f-ing weapon!)

For example, do a search on New and improved Napalm or why not just search for it by its' offical name, Mark-77. You'll discover how people in the streets of Baghdad were instantly varpourised by new and improved napalm.
As for the Z-man, you really expect me to fall for a video of an overweight bumbling idiot?

Whore-us,
According to the first link, the pics were from the site of a tank battle. What do you suppose happens to someone inside a big steel box when the fuel and ammunition are ignited by a hit? I'll go you one better. The Soviet-era BMP infantry combat vehicle used by the Iraqi army had armor made of a magnesium alloy to reduce weight. Magnesium is more commonly used in flares because it burns well and makes an intensely bright light. I might add that your links make no mention of napalm of any sort. Wipe the rabid foam from your lips and try again.

It's called a "car fire." I've seen similar results in civilian cars. This sort of thing happens a lot when you take an unarmored vehicle into a tank battle (from the captions on the site).
If a wide-area weapon like napalm had been used, the fires wouldn't be so local. This area looks nothing like what happens when a napalm bomb is used.
It's also not in Baghdad, but is in Taji, which is about 30 kilometers north of Baghdad. Taji, by the way, is where much of Iraq's weapons research was done. Those "human shields," instead of protecting what they thought were food silos, were probably sitting on top of some leftover missiles or something more sinister (the team that was supposed to "clear" the areas they were sitting on was not allowed to check things more thoroughly). The al-Taji silos were a prime inspection site for the UNMOVIC inspectors, by the way, since it was one of Iraq's premier biological weapons research sites in the early 1990s.
In other words, your source is just another gullible idiot who helped protect one of the worst dictators in history, and is frantically trying to pretend he wasn't. By his actions, he helped in the direct violation of Protocol I of the First Geneva Convention.

Napalm is an area effect weapon. These photos show directed fire and the effects of that. Napalm (which was not used here) would have left a scorching on the ground area. Remember its basicaly a petroleum gel that spreads. You would not get such tight patterns of effect as is shown in the pictures, you would see entire swaths of burned area, the pictures do not sho w this, and therefor I would conclude no napalm was used, I would also say no WP was used either. White ash could be a result of a multitude of flamable agents.
