The AP is reporting:
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -North Korea has three or four more missiles on launch pads and ready for firing, major South Korean newspapers reported Thursday.
The missiles are either short- or medium-range, reported Chosun Ilbo, one of South Korea's largest dailies. It cited an unidentified senior South Korean official.
Another major paper, JoongAng Ilbo, carried a similar report.
The North has also barred people from sailing into some areas off the coast until July 11 in a possible sign of preparations for additional launches, Chosun Ilbo said.
North Korea test-fired seven missiles on Wednesday, triggering international condemnation. The missiles apparently fell into the sea without causing damage or injuries.
Reuters is reporting that North Korea appears to preparing to test launch another Taepodong-2 long range missile:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - North Korea appears to be making preparations to launch another long-range Taepodong-2 missile but the missile is not yet on the launch pad, NBC News reported on Wednesday, citing unnamed U.S. officials.
NBC said the missile was nonetheless in its final assembly stage.North Korea launched at least six missiles early on Wednesday and a seventh some 12 hours later, officials in Japan and South Korea said.
Kim Jong-Il reminds me of a spoiled brat screaming at the top of his lungs, "Look at me! Pay attention to me!"

The more launch failures, the more millions of dollars leave his treasury, never to be replentished.
Now Chavez is making noise about trading oil for weapons. Of course, if those shipments are intercepted in retaliation for Kim's missile launches, the North Korean military will have to decide whether to let this sawed-off nutcase stay in power or not.

At some point they are just going to run out of missiles. Then we can all point at them and laugh some more.

Glad to see some one say this out loud. He is throwing a tantrum because Iran got an incentive package and he didn't.

I can't believe the news wires aren't reporting this! The Taepo-Dong missile is actually named after North Korea's leader. Taepo means short. Therefore, the whole phrase translated is Little Prick.

Justrand,
We should ignore this little child 's rant and send a message to his parents, the Chinese communists. Let 's rearm Japan including nuclear weapons and all.

It's an act of desperation.
Iran has grabbed the center of international attention with its nuclear program. Kim withdrew from the "6-party" talks shortly after his banking network's counterfeiting/money laundering operations were shut down, or nearly so, depriving him of his only real source of hard currencies.
He perceives the only way to regain attention and hopefully either regain access to the banking system or gain some aid concessions is to appear an imminent threat.
Not much of a plan, especially if the rockets don't fly, but he doesn't have many cards to play.
It is perhaps worthy of note that we had over fifty failed launches ourselves before our first successful satellite launch, and right up until the time of the first few Mercury launches, those rockets were also suspect.
Still, the worst of all possible outcomes for Kim would have been a successful ICBM launch which was then shot down over the Pacific by US anti-missile systems. The beauty of this scenario is that he has no idea whether or not we could do it, and neither does anyone else. If we attempt to do it, and keep the attempt secret if it fails, there is no upside for the PRK.
Poor Kim. It sucks to be an incompetent dictator who is even looked down upon by Tom Daschle. And don't suggest elevator shoes - he's already got 'em.
