Is it a surprise that some of our Republican congressmen are look upon kindly by Democrats?

#1. Yes it is.
I know there are many good ones but so few speak out and that makes them not so good...

I remember during Rendell's tenure as DNC Chairman when he pondered whether it might be time for Al Gore to face the reality about the 2000 Presidential election.

The poop on Santorum -- "Meet The Mullah Omar of Pennsylvania"

Santorum: That's Latin for Asshole

I see Lee has made his usual incisive comment.
On the other side of the coin, Rendell has just given Santorum a Campaign Quote to beat all campaign quotes. Coming as it does from the Democratic governor of the state, how does Casey recover?
Anybody know why Ed Rendell would make such a statement? I perceive there may be some bad blood between Bobby Casey and Ed, and this is a pay back/stab in the back. I've been too many years away from my home state to be up to date on the latest PA follies.

Yesterday, I heard a Santorum ad attacking Casey that repeatedly pointed out how Casey viciously attacked Rendell with lies in the Democratic primary four years ago. The point was that Casey was doing it again and that he couldn't be trusted. By implication, the ad gives a positive impression of Rendell. I found that amazing. So perhaps, Rendell is returning the favor.
