How do I decieve thee? Let me count the ways

Yesterday, I speculated that Reuters' very public firing of freelance photographer Adnan Hajj was no guarantee that the flagrant fraud would end.

Well, that was speculation, utterly unfounded in anything resembling facts, but I might have been pretty damned close to the mark.

Rusty Shackleford, the head honcho of The Jawa Report, has been going over Reuters' photos with a degree of intensity that borders on the proctological. And he's found another photographer whose work bears an astonishing resemblance to that of the no-longer-welcome-at-Reuters Mr. Hajj's. Further, Mr. Issam Kobeisy appears to be a recent acquisition of Reuters -- Rusty could find no Google trace of him prior to mid-July of this year.

Reuters' deceptions and outright frauds are getting more and more complex. It's getting to the point where you need a special guide to sort out the various and sundry methods of their chicaneries. I wish someone would come up with a breakdown of their methods and techniques and styles.

Oh, wait, here's one.

Looks like Hezboallh and most MSM had an epiphany watching the whole Rathergate thing, figuring "fake but accurate" could work if tweeked the right (or left, in this case) way.

That last link was excellent. I hope every site picks it up.

I would make two observations about the photographs that we are seeing out of Lebannon. Regardless of whether or not they are doctored (which certainly seems to be the case), there is real damage being done to the people of Lebannon. Some say the fault lies with Isreal, but I believe that it is the fault of Hizbollah for hiding amoungst them. Even more so when they use the tragity of children dying for propaganda purposes.

Secondly, and perhaps as important, is that the propagandist and news agencies do not realize that "if a little salt is good, a lot of salt is not better". After a while we become immune to the constant stream of photographs of dead women and children, and just tune it out. This is especially true now that the photos have been proven to be doctored. It is now easier to reject the carnage, which would normally be upsetting, as being false, which eleviates the guilt of not being able to do anything about it. It's kind of like not minding about the dead animals on the highway, as long as you don't have to see them. The animals aren't dead if I don't see them, and the carnage in Lebannon isn't happening if the photos are doctored.

I have to say that the word of the day is definitely "protological", which had me in stitches. Hopefully, I'll find at least three uses for the word this week.

Why is anyone surprised by this? The democrats which make up most of news media have been doing this for over 30 years now.

Does anyone have the know-how to determine what percent of Reuters, NYT, WAPA, LAT, etc. stock is owned by Muslims? I suspect their editorial policy is heavily influenced by pro-Islamofascist ownership, but don't have the means of confirming it.
