Cindy Sheehan Hospitalized In Texas

I guess the hunger strike is officially over now:

Anti-war demonstrator Cindy Sheehan was hospitalized Friday evening for dehydration and exhaustion after fasting for more than a month and protesting earlier this week in 100-degree weather, friends and relatives said.

Sheehan was listed in stable condition at Providence Health Center in Waco. Brenda Mauk, a nursing supervisor, declined to release additional information.

Sheehan, 49, was hospitalized after friends picked her up Friday afternoon at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, where she arrived after spending several days in Seattle at the Veterans for Peace convention, said friend Tiffany Burns.

Sheehan, who has been on a liquid diet as part of the nationwide "Troops Home Fast" hunger strike, had been treated and released from a Seattle emergency room Thursday night. On doctors orders, she ate for the first time in about 37 days, Burns said.

Sheehan also underwent additional tests for uterine bleeding, her sister Dede Miller said.

Sheehan was to spend Friday night in the Waco hospital but planned to attend some war protest activities Saturday at the 5-acre lot she bought last month in Crawford, President Bush's adopted hometown, about 20 miles from Waco.

It ain't stinkin' over! She got sick. It's a health issue which never would have happened if Bush had spent the money to feed every hungry mouth yadda yadda yadda and it's all the greedy Republicans who cause these people to starve by not feeding them.

I hope Cindy recovers fully. We need her voice.

Gee, let’s see, Cindy is fasting while protesting in 100 degree plus heat and isn’t exactly the most physically fit middle aged women in the world.

All of these things are ingredients for dehydration, heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

All I can say without trying to be cruel, is it’s too bad there were not any smart people in her entourage to point these things out to her.

I second Jim with “Cindy get well”. I was counting on her to be out stumping for Democrats this fall.

"I have been silent on the Gold Star Moms who still support this man and his war by saying that they deserve the right to their opinions because they are in as much pain as I am. I would challenge them, though, at this point to start thinking for themselves… I am starting to lose a little compassion for them. I know they have been as brainwashed as the rest of America, but they know the pain and heartache and they should not wish it on another. However, I still feel their pain so acutely and pray for these "continue the murder and mayhem" moms to see the light." .

So Cindy’s message to other mothers that lost sons in Iraq is this:

I am starting to lose a little compassion for them

I know they have been as brainwashed as the rest of America

murder and mayhem" moms

P.S. to Cindy: Jesus would love you for your attitude

Actually I suck at being any type of Christian. I just enjoy pointing to lefty hypocrisy.

For example the quote I posted, despite sympathy for her loss, she can come off as a real bitch to others in the same shoes.

God bless you Jumpinjoe as I assume this is also your attitude.

Go read what I posted earlier.

The nutshell;

Cindy isn’t smart enough to understand weather on the body.
And…..
“Get well” as I want her stumping for Democrats in the mid-terms.

Hmmmm..

She gets paid very well to express her "convictions". You are aware that if she did not have the funding and support from Tereza Heinz-Kerry, George Soros, Ben Cohen and the rest of the "usual suspects" she would not be doing any of this. That land in Crawford was not purchased with "her insurance money", no-it was bought by her financial backers. All these trips she goes on are not paid for by her but her sponsors. Whle her compatriots sleep in tents in 100 degree heat she has a nice air conditioned suite to go back to.

And she is some "martyr", too! How many "martyrs" have a PAID staff including hired body guards, personal assisstants to cater to her every need and one guy who does nothing but massage her feet?

We will see how deep her "convictions" run when her sponsors decide to cut the money off because they are not getting the media coverage they so hoped for out of her.

"Courage of her convictions" What the hell does that mean? Didn't the airplane bombers caught last week act with the "courage of their convictions," as did Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Ackmadinnerjacket, etc. . .???

It's what the convictions are that counts. Any idiot can throw themselves in front of the bus for a cause, including your gal, Sheehan. She's a real Winston Churchill.
