Dhimmitude on the Move in Britain

Take a look at this little girl's passport photo.

npassport14.jpg

A British post office rejected the photo because the little girl's bare shoulders might be considered offensive in Muslim nations.

The Identity and Passport office said that the photo should not have been rejected because there is no such rule that says shoulders are supposed to be covered. So, who was the Post Office employee who applied Muslim standards to a British passport?

Well, Big Mo' did marry a six year old girl (although he did wait until she was nine before consummating the marriage), so I guess a lot of Muslim men might find a five year old's bare shoulders provocative.

Ok, so now people are offended by shoulders.

*sigh* Cute girl, but we better cut off her head with a rusty knife, you know, because she offends Allah with the nerve to have shoulders.

Perhaps someone who requires his wife to conceal herself under a blanket if/when she is allowed outside the slavery of her home? Just guessing.

Not only are her shoulders provocatively bare but her hair is indecently exposed. You're never too young for a burqa.

The article said they were travelling to France. So what were saying about not travelling to backward, savage places again?

I need to get my passport renewed. This makes me want to wear a sleeveless shirt when I go to get my picture made. I am not planning on visiting any Muslim countries so I am not concerned in the least about offending anyone. They sure don't worry about offending Christians, do they? Come to think of it, does anyone worry about offending Christians?

Even if they were travelling to Muslim nations, at most they should have warned her about those customs in those countries. It should have been the parents decision after that.

Any family that wants press pictures of their loved one's flag drapped coffin can make that happen.

Cindy Sheehan has made a globe spanning career of it.

This, of course, has nothing to do with the possibility of being offended by a child's shoulders.

Re: Synova

I'm not sure about passport photos. However, there was a case a few years back of a Muslim woman in Florida that wanted to have her driver's license photo taken with her face concealed claiming that it contrary to her religion to have her face shown. IIRC, the court ruled against her.
