Brit Hume never fails to tell it like it is. The following is from Fox News Sunday.
Hume: Yes, and what an appealing faith these thugs must believe Islam is, that conversions have to be effected at the point of a gun. And what of the argument that all of the ills and troubles that beset the Palestinian people, that lead them to terrorism, are the cause of what they endlessly refer to as the illegal Israeli occupation.Excerpt via Ms. Underestimated, who includes commentary from Juan Williams from the same episode of Fox News Sunday. (Hat tip: Michelle Malkin.)
Consider the latest rounds of trouble in Gaza and Lebanon, two places from which Israel has withdrawn. It has been noted that not for one day after the Israeli pullout from Gaza did the rocket attacks that came from Gaza ever stop. We're not dealing here with something that is susceptible to a political resolution of the kind of which the State Department and many a president has dreamed.
We're dealing here with a lawless enemy whose goal far transcends any side-by-side, two-state solution. That isn't going to do it. We're dealing with a terrorist, gangland-style enemy, which I think it's fair to conclude, and this episode only further illustrates it, must be defeated.

Britt Hume is NOT a journalist, he has an opinion driven news show, and gives his opinions. And Fox is not a news channel it is an entertainment channel plain and simple.
I tune in to Fox to hear the republican talking points of the day. And to be honest, I am usually pretty entertained when I watch it. I guess it's no wonder that their ratings are so good.

I saw this when it happened and noticed that the cameraman did some nice reaction shots of Bill Kristol and Nina Easton as Brit was talking and both looked spell bound by what Brit was saying. As usual he is right on target and also made mince meat out of Juan's argument(s).
field-negro, Brit Hume is most certainly a journalist and a damn good one. On his show during the week he does not verbalize his own viewpoint but let's the round table participants have their say. On Sunday he IS one of the roundtable participants, therefore he gives his opinion.
I would agree that shows like the O-Reily factor and Hannity and Colmes are entertainment, but Special report is a news show and simply the best one on TV these days. If you can't handle it because it presents both sides of the story then that's your problem.
Also, instead of going off on tirade about Fox News, why don't you deal with the issue at hand, namely what Brit said about the Palestinian terrorists. because what he said was factual and correct.

Nazikiller, are you a muslim terrorist? Sounds quite similar.
Brit is one of the sharpest minds on TV news. You can almost transcribe his extemporaneous remarks word for word and have a nice, tight well-written essay.
No liberal mind gets anywhere near the coherence you find in Brit's reporting and opinions.

It always cracks me up when people go on and on about how we'll be rid of GW, just Mark Their Words.
Yeah, here's two words. Term Limits. GW can't run in 2008. Congratulations on your success in "outing" him.
They really should settle down and try and guess who the next republican president will be so they can get a head start frothing at the mouth.

I love Brit and his insights. He is my favorite and most trusted anchor the channel has. I am not sure if anyone else does this or not but each segment that comes on with a new host I always try and figure out their party affiliation. Not that it matters but I am angered by all the hoopla caused by Fox News as being tilted to the right. For arguments sake lets just say that it is. So lets see, follow me closely here. You have ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, PBS, MSNBC, am I leaving anyone out? The score hmm 6 to 1. Now throw in all the left wing newspapers and what do you have. Monopoly? Go get em Brit.
Oh yea by the way back to my earlier question.
Starting with Fox and Friends, anyone care to quess? John Scot? E.D.Hill? Bill Hemmer? Jane Skinner? Shep Smith? Neil Cavueto? John Gibson?
Well I pretty well have my theory anyone care to take a crake at it. LOL

Brit Hume is exceptional. I agree with one poster that he can give an extemporaneous response that when transcribed is almost flawless in it's argument.
And I'm saying this even though there are some of his personal views I do not embrace.
On the other hand I am not impressed by the company he or Chris Wallace keeps.
Juan Williams? He spouts of inaccuracies time and again and he doesn't care, he only smiles at himself. I used to like Bill Kristol much better until I have found that he's been making misstatements. But at least he attempts to correct them when brought to his attention. But he is often wrong, when you get right down to it.
I love how Chris Wallace stood up against Bill Clinton in that interview.
But Brit is a joy to listen to.
