It's unbelievable. Hot Air has the video. It's shocking enough to actually hear Paul Hackett call Dan "Herr Senor." But he didn't stop at that - he followed it up by calling Dan a "little unterfuhrer."
Hackett is settling into the far left, nutroot wing of the Democratic Party very well.

Simple, Infidel. Just give them the White House, Congress and SCOTUS. That's all this has ever been about. Oh, sure, Lee will deny it, squawk something about "crushing of dissent" or "Faux News" or "conservofascist sockpuppets," but it's true. The left has decided - like a spoiled child - that until it gets back power, it will do everything it can to delay, obstruct, defeat and block this adminstration as much as possible. If it means a few Americans have to die in a terror attack. . .well, you can't make omelets without breaking a few eggs, can you?
Go ahead, Infidel - ask Lee where all this outrage was when the Syphilitic Hillbilly lied. About mass graves. About the troops being home for Christmas. About the WMD hidden in a Sudanese aspirin factory. Where was his outrage when that miserable piece of sewage invaded Haiti unilaterally? Or attacked Bosnia (which, of course, posed no imminent threat to us)?
Hell, he was probably chortling over those stoopid religious freaks at Waco who deserved to get firebombed. Or cheered as Janet Reno's thugs tore a little boy out of his relatives' home at gunpoint. That was simply democracy in action. But the War on Terror? All a fake. A Halliburton plot. There are no terrorists. Just happy Muslims we haven't met yet. And anyway, it's all the fault of (shhhhhh!!) the Joooooooooos, dont'cha know.
And of course, Lee, I notice the whole point of this post blew right by you - should anyone, left or right, running for public office, have recourse to Nazi smears? Is that now an accepted part of public discourse? Or do you condemn it in any way at all?

As for military service, it may or may not mean something. There are examples both good and bad. For the Democrats on this thread, Duke Cunningham was a war hero yet you love to use him for the culture of corruption theme against Republicans. 90% of Americans never served in the military. Since Allawi gave his speech in English I assume he speaks English. It's obviously not his first language and I would expect that he'd want someone who was fluent to write the speech and I would expect that he'd be happy to get "coaching" on the speech that he was going to deliver.
That in no way equates to a charge that he'd give a speech with which he did not agree.
If Kerry had done nothing else, I'd have viewed his characterization of Allawi as a "puppet" as absolute proof that Kerry did not have the capacity for any sort of Statesmanship. The man was trying to get us to vote for him for President and he called a foreign leader and ally of the United States with whom he'd be expected to deal, a puppet. Did he expect to have Allawi replaced if he won? Did he really think that he *could*?
Neither Kerry, nor Lee (shocking as it is), seem to have the barest concept of *promoting* public cofidence or why anyone would want to do that.

"*promoting* public cofidence"
Let's see - they were promoting public confidence in the situation in Iraq back in 2004 - which turned out to be just another set of lies designed to win an election.
How about "solultions" - how about hitting a target for once - border security, social security, Iraq - you name it republican'ts -- just hit a target or two for a change and see what that does for "public confidence" instead of having to fabricate confidence with lies and deception.

Well, a plan was offered up. Dems decided that rather than, you know, propose solutions to problems they had with it --- they decided to just trash it instead, going with the belief that there is NO Social Security problem outside of us needing to tax people twice as much.
"Why don't you fix the border?"
You seem to forget we deal with a party that calls an English-only law "racist". Yeah, good luck getting anything done on the border.
"Why don't you fix Iraq?"
Well, since the press finds it better to report on all of the good Hezbollah is doing in Lebanon and ignoring that the US MILITARY is doing MORE GOOD in Iraq --- that you are unaware of the improvements is hardly startling.
You guys are real good at puppet shows - but fail at providing solutions - you just keep moving the targets everytime you miss..
