Republicans have made fundamentally wrong choices for America, and instead embarked on a self-serving, morally righteous crusade that has touched and tainted everything from the Justice Department's US Attorney scandal, to the Iraq march to war and subsequent attempts to involve Iran as a part of a religious imperative to rid the world of Islam. Now it's time to pay the piper...

I hit on this a few days ago in a post titled "McCain's Dirty Little Money Secrets", and now a defiant and arrogant Cindy McCain is back in the news this morning, and once again its news of her own making. She's the kind of trouble John McCain just doesn't need -- but as far as I can see McCain has no chance of keeping a lid on the problems she will create for his candidacy.

But accuse Lee and his ilk of being in cahoots with Islamic fundi nutjobs, and watch the sparks fly!

How is this for the pathetic liar Clinton. He didn't have an NIE on terrorism from 1995 to 9/11

According to the 9/11 Commission report: "There was no National Intelligence Estimate on terrorism between 1995 and 9/11. There was no comprehensive review of what the intelligence community knew and what it did not know and what it meant."

I bet when it's all said and done, they will have more dead than we do, and we will have won this war. Right LAI?
All I am asking for is a draft. If we can do that, you won't hear another word from me about this war. And I suspect, I probably won't hear the cheerleading from my repub-lie-can friends either.

As a not so long ago retired Army NCO I think the draft is a terrible idea right now.
The one huge advantage we have in our military is that being a volunteer means you wanted to be there. And wanting to be there means you are willing to conform to military life, work as a cohesive team and work hard to progress within the ranks.
The military does not desire taking on a bunch of panty waste burnouts that do not want to be there. As the adage goes, "a unit is only as strong as it's weakest link".
