Ammo For Those Final Campaign Ads

Drudge has the following quotes from Karl Rove posted:

White House political strategist Karl Rove tells editors and reporters at THE WASHINGTON TIMES: 'I'm confident we're going to keep the Senate; I'm confident we're going to keep the House. The Foley matter has impact in some limited districts, but the research we have shows that people are differentiating between a vote for their congressman and a member from Florida.' ...

'It is useful to remind people what [Democrats] said and what they do. I think they have given us here, especially in the last couple of weeks, a potent set of votes to talk about. You had 90 percent of House Democrats voting against the terrorist-surveillance program, nearly three-quarters of Senate Democrats and 80 percent of House Democrats voting against the terrorist-interrogation act. Something is fundamentally flawed.'

Hopefully Rove's strategy will be followed. The ammunition Democrats have given Republicans just before the election with some of their votes and statements should be communicated to the voters. The media isn't going to do it. Rove's strategy reminds me of the excellent plan Newt Gingrich recently outlined. Remember, they only win if we let them.

Lorie, I forwarded Tony Blankley's column "Republicans Would Be Stupid Not to Vote" to some friends of mine and included your email. I read it on Real Clear Politics and it is an excellent piece. My thinking was that I get so many useless urban legend and chain letter emails from people and they seem to literaly go around the world at lightning speed. Why not send a reminder to all of our friends who have friends who have friends in some of these close districts? One little email can cover alot of track in 3 weeks.

Hopefully, with Tony's pursuasive argument and Rove's energizing confidence we can gather some momentum and sanity during the home stretch.

Better head for the hills. CAIR has found another Koran flushed down a toilet at Pace Univ. The muslem students must be tired of reading the garbage and started flushing them. Someone teach the animals that a super thick comic book can not possibly pass through the average comode.

Go Karl! We're entering the 4th quarter and that's where the games are won. Let's hope that Newt's article and Blankley's column is the call that brings Republicans and Conservatives home. If we turn out and vote, we win. The mediacrats know it and that's why they've worked 24-7 since last year to sell the idea that its over, the Democrats have won, and if we had any decency we'd just declare them the winners now and not bother with the election. They desperately want to depress our turnout and its our responsibility to se to it that they don't succeed. Now's the time to grab your pitchforks and head to the sound of gun fire. Karl will provide the air cover.

Something needs to be done about this...I vote for toilets with bigger drains. Then they won't be "found".

sanssoucy:

Sooner or later, the Republicans will certainly lose their hold on [branch of government], but what interests me is the fact that every single election, the MSM grimly advises us that the Republicans are doomed.

Look at 2004. Bush not only re-elected by a 4% margin - but with the scalps of *five* Democratic senators (including the minority leader) drying on his lodge-pole? My point is this; *exactly* how many polls predicted "Bush elected / Democrats decisively defeated?"

None that I can recall. All I saw was "too close to call" and "toss-up" and "races tightening."

So far as I can see, there appears to be a built-in 4% or 5% Democratic bias in just about every poll out there.

What are they teaching kids these days? Don't they know you don't use the entire book at once? You rip the pages out a few at a time. Geez, how wasteful.

If you people were good conservatives you would be voting hard for a Democrat in your district to bring this government back under some kind of control.

We have just written torture into our lawbooks and aligned ourselves against everything we consider sacred. Are we really such cowards that we need the government to take our rights to protect us. I for one will take my chances.

Not to mention the flagrant spending by this administration will cause taxes to rise sharply soon.

I will vote for the party that will bring real hearings to congress and get this administration up on charges for breathtaking corruption.

I fear that you will all vote for your team instead of what is right.

James,

You are obviously not one of those "good conservatives" you were speaking about. Matter of fact, I don't think you are conservative at all.

As a conservative, I certainly have issues with this administration and the elected Republican leadership. Make no mistake about it.

HOWEVER, there's a couple sayings my dad had, 1) You don't throw the baby out with the bath water, and 2) Don't cut off your nose to spite your face. Either of these sayings will apply here in the case of a conservatives voting for Democrats just because they are mad at Bush or some Republicans.

In any event, I would consider voting Libertarian, Constitution Party, Conservative Party, Republican, or Independent. I'll vote for a Democrat (as they exist today) when HELL FREEZES OVER.

Rove has the fix in on the voting machines !
That is why he is confident .
I do not expect another democrate to ever win as long as there is cheating going on .
The only thing that will stop the cheating is when the Repubs loose an election and find that the
machine was tampered with .
When Hillary wins, that is all we we will hear .
