"Utter stupidity" is more like it. Showing Osama bin Laden, the man the Republicans decided and declared wasn't important:
and then showing him as a significant threat because he's still on the loose, has to be the stupidest moment in this campaign.

Vote for OBL's men (and women); Cardin, Stabenow, Klobuchar, McCaskill, Nelson, Menendez, Brown, Casey Jr., Chafee, Ford, Webb, Cantwell, etc...
If these win, the terrorists win.

If you're a secular socialist like Lee, muirego, Hugh, and most of the French, then yes, I can believe that to you George Bush would be far scarier than Osama Bin Laden.
Things like freedom, personal resposibility, lifting the poor out of poverty, real constitutional rights (not fabricated ones such as Roe or Kelo), being rewarded for hard work, not being rewarded for being wothless, and the opportunity to be successful are a much greater threat to those on the left than terrorism.

from the caption: (my CAPS)
"Facing possible DEVASTATION...has turned to UTTER FEAR..."
Golly, Hugh, considering this was supposedly a news story, don't ya think those phrases show at least a tiny bit of bias??

Biased? Yes. True? Also yes. The RNC have been using almost nothing BUT fear to try to win votes from those of us who are getting fed up with our party.
Is this even up for debate? It's blatantly obvious to everyone, isn't it? I thought the debate was whether using fear tactics was viable or not, I never even considered that some Republicans were so drunk on Kool Aid that they would deny the fact that fear tactics were being used at all.

Go for vote for your liberaltarian candidate then Jim. I know another Lee wishes he did in 2000. Since everyone knows the LP has what it takes to handle national security...which is to blame the U.S. first.
