It's nice to see two people of two different ideologies have a conversation on TV that doesn't involve shoutings and cut-offs and name calling. Sad that most news networks can't do that.

Ashcroft did well..Stewart is getting lame..
Too bad we have a 2nd rate AG now..
Ashcroft is one of the few who left Bush with his integrity in tact.

As amazing as that was, the Pat Robertson/Howard Dean discussion will always be the high point of polar opposites meeting.
This very well could be a close second.

Jon Stewart is actually the one of the most polite interviewers on TV to the guests on his show. The Daily Show is always a pleasure to watch because it makes fun of everything but manages to be pretty insightful. I never get to see the conservative pundits take a stab at Republicans.
Republicans stopped "Verifying" 6 years ago and we went to this government based on faith.
Ashcroft couldn't get away from the assertion that we should just trust this government.

You know, I've always had a certain level of fondness for John Stewart. It's hard to place my fingers on exactly why, and I do know his political bent fairly well. I think part of it is because he's fairly nice to the people he interviews, regardless of their personal beliefs.
It could be because I find him handsome, though.
