Australian Mufti Forced to Apologize for Saying Veilless Women Force Men to Rape Them

An Australian Mufti said that a woman not wearing a veil is to a Muslim man what uncovered meat is to hungry cats. Yep. He said that.

Well, today he was forced to apologize:

A Muslim cleric's claim that women who do not wear the veil are like 'uncovered meat' who attract sexual predators sparked outrage around Australia yesterday.

Sheik Taj Din al-Hilali, the nation's most senior Muslim cleric, compared immodestly-dressed women who do not wear the Islamic headdress with meat that is left uncovered in the street and is then eaten by cats.

Politicians including Prime Minister John Howard, community leaders and a large number of Muslims condemned the mufti's comments amid calls that he should be deported to Egypt, his country of origin.

He has since been forced to apologise for his remarks.

In a Ramadam sermon in a Sydney mosque, Sheik al-Hilali suggested that a group of Muslim men recently jailed for many years for gang rapes were not entirely to blame.

There were women, he said, who 'sway suggestively' and wore make-up and immodest dress "and then you get a judge without mercy and gives you 65 years. But the problem, but the problem all began with who?" he said, referring to the women victims.

Addressing 500 worshippers on the topic of adultery, Sheik al-Hilali added: "If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside on the street, or in the garden or in the park, or in the backyard without a cover, and the cats come and eat it..whose fault is it - the cats or the uncovered meat?

"The uncovered meat is the problem."

I bet the men listening to this guy were cheering. It's freedom to act on their sexual inhibitions with complete absolution.

Ace reminds us of Robert Spencer's post that Islamofascists are bringing jihad to women through rape.

Interrogator: "Is this Jihad - raping women? Is this Jihad?"

Abed: "It is because they collaborated with the Americans."

Interrogator: "That's why they were raped?"

Abed: "Yes."

Interrogator: "A student who is simply going to her university is kidnapped, raped, and then slaughtered?! This was an American collaborator?!"

Abed: "Mullah Al-Raikan would give the names to the squad commander."

Interrogator: "My information says that they were kidnapped and brought to Mullah Al-Raikan's headquarters. True or false?"

Abed: "He would interrogate them."

Interrogator: "Were they raped after the interrogation?"

Abed: "Yes. He would give them to the squad, and they would kill them. Some would rape them."

Interrogator: "You bastards. This is Jihad? You call this Jihad? "

Interrogator 2: "What was your role in these operations?"

Abed: "I would stand at the entrance to the headquarters. It was a house, and they would bring them there."

Interrogator 2: "Did you participate in the rape and murder?"

Abed: "No. Just one who worked for the PUK. She was a Kurd."

Interrogator: "In the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan?"

Abed: "Yes. We brought her too."

Interrogator: "And you raped her?"

Abed: "Yes."

This sexist idiocy exsists on the fundamental level in many religions. Just as in many Islam gatherings women are kept seperate...similar to the fundi Hebrews...or the Catholics who don't have women prists or the Southern Babtists who don't have women preach...

It is also too common an attitude here where judges and others have said woman/girls ask for assualt because of skimpy attire. It is also why men believe laws should be passed and enforced the govern a woman reproductive system.

Proud Kaffir:

Seamus,

At least do a one second google search before spouting your nonesense. The one who made that comment was Clayton Williams, a one time candidate for Governor of Texas who lost to Ann Richards in 1990. The remark was a joke, a crude and tasteless joke, but a joke and one for which he was deservedly criticized. This Mufti is definitely not joking.

The attitude of the left when faced with Muslim barbarity seems to be to equate it with Christian and Jewish Conservatives, no matter how many illogical leaps they need to make.

Asifiga, cannibalism? When Christians say they are eating the body and blood of Christ, it is only symbolic, or are you referring to some secret ritual of which I am not aware?

It is a sad commentary on the left when they can't even bring themselves to condemn a man saying that specific victims of gang rapes deserved it.

As to the comment, I think it is quite an insult to cats to comapre them to Muslim men. The cats may eat the uncovered meat, but do male cats gang rape a female cat who is not wearing a veil? (This a rhetorical question, trolls. No need to answer it or try an experiment.)

Of course he was still a republican, and still a dirtbag, and still hard to distinguish from the muslims. Proud Kaffir:

Of course, a Republican candidate for governor made an off-color joke about rape 16 years ago; therefore, all Republicans are as misogynic as this Mufti and as backwards as the fundamentalist Muslim culture that treats women as objects to be beaten and raped.

But as usual, you dickbag republicans would rather quibble with minor issues than deal with the major problems.

Why is is that liberals cannot speak or write without pure profanity pouring forth from their mouthes or typewriters? The issues? The issue here is a stone age mentality being imported by Muslim clerics in the west and the pro-feminist left being hypocriically silent. These statements are not isolated incidents as is your well-researched example.

And save your one republican sixteen years ago bullshit. According to you Michael Moore speaks for every liberal in America. Your hypocrisy is shameful.

As part of the pro-feminist left, he's wrong. He's wrong. He's wrong. Now, are you ready to discuss the real issue, which is that many right wingers hold views that are disturbingly close to those of this raving lunatic?
