My hope for the weekend -- after Michigan wins -- is that I can make it out of Columbus in one piece. The last time I went there, my car and I took some damage. And, an old lady spit on me, ugh.

After a long and happy life, Jim Tressell died, and went to heaven. When he arrived, St. Peter was waiting for him. He began to show him around the neighborhood, and eventually reached his dwelling. It was a nice log cabin with an OSU flag out front. They continued walking and eventually reached a huge 3 story mansion with tons of U of M decor in the yard and on the house. Tressell gets angry, and looks over at St. Peter.

"Why does Lloyd Carr get a mansion, while I'm stuck in a log cabin? Sure it's nice, but he gets this? Tressell yells.

St. Peter replies, "Jim, that's not Lloyd Carr's house, that's God's."

I'll probably incur the wrath of both sides when I say I'll not be paying much attention. THE game is going to be Alabama/Auburn here in AL. Then again I probably don't care either way on that game either because I'm a Gator fan. ;p

Ya'll do your best to whack on each other now, ya'll heah. A low scoring game would make my day, say 3 to 2.

Now if everyone out there would like to vote on something that will actually make them feel good, there is a poll being conducted as to the best "symbolic" things about various colleges, including SCRIPT OHIO which will bring a tight feeling in the chest to any alum.

The site says you can vote for 5 different things, but since OSU was at 10+% this morning and is now up in the 40% range, voting for ONLY Script Ohio seems to be working!

I friend of mine from high school has a brother who dotted the i when he played in the Ohio State band in the 80's.

I still think that is so cool.

By the way, Gayle, Script Ohio is now rated #1 with 42.9% of the vote.

That list leaves off Michigan's best tradition -- beating Michigan State every year.

Besides, what self respecting football program would want to be remembered for something the band did? ;-)

Methinks you're referring to my alma mater's infamous band appearing on the field during "The Play" in 1982. (A game I attended by the way...long before I went to Stanford.)

First, "friendly rivalry"????????....How long have you been a buckeye fan???...cause there is no such thing as a "friendly rivalry" between these two teams. Never has been, never will be.
