Include The Troops In Your Holiday Planning

BRight & Early reminded me of the Let's Say Thanks sponsored by Xerox. " The mission of Let's Say Thanks is to provide a way for individuals across the country to recognize U.S. troops stationed overseas. By submitting a message through this site you have the opportunity to send a free personalized postcard greeting to deployed servicemen and women...The postcards, depicting patriotic scenes and hometown images, were selected from a pool of entries from children across the country."

In addition to Jay's suggestion below, another way to include the troops in your holiday plans is to donate either money or items to Operation Gratitude. They will be accepting donations through December 15 to include in this year's holiday packages.

Its a little late now as Ch... (Below threshold)

Its a little late now as Christmas Cards have to be in the mail by yesterday to reach Iraq and Afghan on time but you could always participate in Kat in Ga's annual drive, Operation Love From Home This year she is sending over 17000 cards to troops collected form all over the country.
