Just a few updates leading up to the big Sunday/Monday night season premiere:
- Tim Goodman has an interesting piece about how "24" has influenced public opinion, and could potentially influence the upcoming presidential election. (Hat tip to Susan in N.C.) [Update -- I should have included a spoiler alert for this column. If you don't want to know anything at all about the upcoming season, skip the Goodman column for now.]
- Tonight the cast of "24" will be on Larry King (CNN at 9 p.m. EST).
- Ed Driscoll has a merchandise link for the Jack Bauer fan musician.
Five days to go...

Ahh, that explains why so much conservative blog space is devoted to "24' -- conservatives are counting on Jack Bauer to help them defeat the evil demoterrorists!
Here's further proof that conservatives are koo-koo -- it's one of the funniest bits you can find on youtube today.

The lefties will love this season's 24 as it shows the Executive Branch as the lefties perceive it to be under the current administration. There's no way the 24 people are actual conservatives given what's portrayed.

Lorie, just a heads-up: upon reading it, I discovered that your first link (the Tim Goodman article) contains spoilers for the upcoming season, i.e., it reveals plot points that haven't been on TV yet.
I'm a big fan of the show, and I prefer not to know what's going to happen before it happens; it ruins most of the fun.
It'd probably be a good idea to type *Season Premier Spoiler Warning* or the like next to your link.

I'm going to steal Jay Tea's word of the week: ONANISTIC. (I hope I'm using the word correctly, i.e. from Onan in the Bible who spilled his seed upon the floor (of the TV room)? Such an alterpiece of dweebish hero worship this thing has become! Rent "Yojimbo". Toshiro Mifune IS cool in that one!
