I spent most of the day with my kids since they were home from school in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, so I have not been reading blogs today. A few minutes ago, however, I received a link to an interesting essay by Jeff Goldstein from Jay at Stop the ACLU. Jeff's essay is thought provoking and so is the commentary from Jay at . Stop the ACLU. Jay also has video of the "I have a dream" speech posted this evening.

Lorie, Did you even READ the link? I don't blame you. I've never seen a writer use so many words to say so little. I needed a machete! http://isteve.com/ Race,Darwin, sports. All the hot buttons!

Actually, I did read the link. That is why it took me a while to post it. (That and waiting for the 24 commercial :-) I thought he made some interesting points, although I don't agree with all of it.

Really, "Stop The ACLU" should be involved in every MLK day. An organization that has had several landmark cases against racism has no part in the celebration of civil rights.
You should be very pleased Lorie, as I am sure Dr. King would approve.

And CNN makes comments about oreo cookies on Dr. Kings Day. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
