Libby Trial - Morning Notes (Wizbang)

On the docket today...

The cross-examination of Vice President Cheney's former press aide Cathie Martin will continue this morning. After that Ari Fleischer will take the stand.

The big issue for the morning is Fleischer's immunity. Fleischer sought council, took the 5th, then insisted on immunity. Libby's team says that what the government is trying to do is to use Fleisher concern that he might have a criminal problem when he sought out council and demanded immunity. The judge will allow Patrick Fitzgerald to question Fleisher about the immunity - sticking to the facts.

One juror has been lost.
