People actually have to be warned to not drink hand sanitizer

I'm just speechless at this kind of ignorance. Some people are poisoning themselves by drinking hand sanitizer. They think that the isopropyl alcohol is the same as ethyl (grain) alcohol.

aRepukelican, you're assuming that the Republicans around here can understand the big words, like the word "Santizer"(sic) in Kim's headline.

Then Kim says "I'm just speechless at this kind of ignorance."

heh. Let's add up the score --

"santizer"(sic)

"I'm just speechless at this kind of ignorance."

Hmm, only two - Let's go for the hat trick -- let's hit Kim's linked post looking for another nugget. Aha! Found one.

"Oh, lordy. I don't know what to say."

Go to a gas station bathroom and have something to drink, Kim I'm sure something will come to you.

Lee, thanks for catching my typo.

It's minor, but don't give some Wizjerk a sword to deflect the central point of a comment.

aRepukelican and Lee,

Using (sic) or [sic] is a minor point, but so is leaving an "i" out of "sanitizer" in the title, but getting it right in the story. When you make a big deal out of such errors you open yourself to the same.

I'm probably the one who pointed out the error of using (sic) in response to aRepukelican making a point about some minor error I made. Is that the level of argument the two of you are looking for? If not, give minor errors a pass and you'll get a pass on your own.

While you were focusing on such minor points you missed the bigger point that apparently in the first case Kim cited in her linked piece, the prisoner was in fact drunk from drinking Purell. In the second case, the prisoner was poisoned from drinking some other brand hand sanitizer that contained the cheaper isopropyl alcohol. Apparently no one figured out that not all hand sanitizers use the same kind of alcohol.

Okay, so we've got two of the first three replies to this totally in line with the leftist debate manual, that being:

In line with the doctorine that the cure for bad speech is not censorship but more speech, I think aRepukelican and Lee's first replies should be put into their own posting, and bumped to the top every day from here on out.
