A shame.
It will be interesting to hear what the cause of death was. Her weight dropped quite a bit, and she was the Trimspa spokeswoman. I was under the impression diet pills were pretty bad for you.

Her child died. As a parent I can't imagine a worse concept. Was never a big fan of hers, but I could sympathize.
I could understand if she simply lost the will to live and simply didn't take care of herself once that had happened. She wasn't on the steadiest of personality platforms to begin with.

My doctor told me some years ago it's great to lose weight, but losing and gaining and losing and gaining significant amounts over and over again is more of a health hazard than just carrying around a few extra pounds at a stable weight.
Add to that diet pills and other drug use (suspected), and you've got a recipe for disaster.
nogo ~ did you know you can start YOUR OWN BLOG, for free, and write about whatever you want? If you want to post ten times a day about Iraq, you could do it - instead of trying to hijack every topic here. Spare me the phony grief act, though: if you are against the mission, you, in fact, want MORE of our guys dead.

Why yes it is, which explains why when you're called out for despicable comments (and warned about being banned) you can make the saddest of excuses for your behavior.
Not to mention being consistenly off topic as you are here.
For the record, for those reading too much into it, the Monroe ref was to compare her demise and Smith's sad ending and not to any perceived talent or lack thereof.

Perhaps she will become a poster child for the serious epidemic of prescription drug abuse that has simmered in this country for decades, claiming many popular entertainers as well as thousands upon thousands of every-day citizens. It tends to follow generations in families, as it has here. I've seen it expressed in four generations at once in a household. Sad that it is tolerated and even condoned in some circles of our society.

The serious epidemic of opium use, partially promulgated by physicians' prescriptions, but more strikingly by the British conspiracy to destroy Chinese culture and economy from opium production in India, eventually led to the first US legislation against its use, in of all places, San Francisco. The Harris Act followed. I wonder what the Anna Nicole Act might do...

With the deaths of her and her older son, the paternity questions concerning her five-month old daughter just became huge.
I hope authorities investigate all this quite thoroughly and openly, as there are all those $100s of millions still in legal limbo. A cheap thriller plot line might have the villain all along be the old oil tycoon's son who is on the other side of all that money and lawsuits.

Anna Nicole may have been on drugs and a drunk but any mother always thinks about their child. One question I had was if Howard Stern is a suspect then why ain't he in jail waiting until they find out for good! But God Bless her baby and her family may you rest in peace Anna Nicole Smith.
