If you are a regular "24" watcher, be sure to note tonight's back-to-back episodes which begin an hour early at 8 p.m. EST. If last week's episode is any indication, tonight should be action packed.
Update: Get to know Joel Surnow, the man behind "24," in this New Yorker piece. Hat tip to Susan in NC.

I usually wait to catch "24" on DVD as I inevitably miss an ep here and there and get lost. On DVD, watch it all at once. Spectacular show.

Chloe is the big time heroine in this one. Earlier, they took her offline because she was messed up about Jack's brother's death.
She came back just in time to trace a phone call to where the bomb was, and then disarmed it.

Let's see ... VP making a power-play on the President, and another kid about to be kidnapped as a hostage ... What show does this remind me of ... oh yeah ... it's 24 ... what a coincidence! :(
I've been reading the new 24 paperbacks that Marc Cerasini and John Whitman wrote, and sadly, they are better than this season. In fact, they are a lot better.
I think what the writers were better at in the first couple seasons was a couple of things:
1) The continuity aspect of the show
2) Keeping the viewer in suspense.
The whole sense of continuity in this season just doesn't seem to be there ... It seems less like a continuous 24 hours, and more like a traditional action show. They just can't seem to build any apprehension or suspense like they used to.
Maybe I'm just de-sensitized to it all ...
BTW -> Jack's sister-in-law, ex-girlfriend is hot.

Kim, don't know if you missed the part where Gramps threatened Josh's life. I know that is the reason she didn't tell Jack, but she really should have known better. I guess I will cut her some slack though. To learn your father in law killed your husband, his son, and then to hear him threaten your child, would be enough to give anyone pause.
