Al Gore Unmasked

OK, it's all fallen into place. I know Al Gore's secret.

For years, something has bothered me about the former vice-president. Something seemed just a little "off" with him. But I've finally managed to piece together enough evidence to prove just who "Al Gore" really is.

Let's look at a few key facts:

  1. Gore has a respect for Mother Nature that borders on outright fear of her power.
  2. Gore is greatly concerned about the Earth growing warmer.
  3. Everywhere Gore has gone lately, it seems, it has suddenly turned cold.
  4. His presidential ambitions were crushed in the Sunshine State.

I am left with the unescapable conclusion that this is the real Al Gore:

That is one little ditty that can easily get stuck in your head.

Dammit....there it goes now. Must fight this off.... Must fight this off.... Must fight this off....

No luck, I'll be back later when it wears off.

I think I will finally start tallying the number of posts here dedicated to your heroes. You all really can't get enough of Kerry and Gore and Clinton can you?

You know, after the 04 elections, the left blogosphere sat around and cried for a bit but they quickly went back to work, with their eyes on 06. They organized, busted their balls and it paid off for them, big.

So far on the right blogosphere, after getting their asses kicked hard in the 06 election, mostly all I see are posts obsessing about Gore or Kerry or Clinton, and circular firing squads blaming each other for their losses.

Where's your sense of the crucial races for the GOP, new candidates, fundraising, and gushy fawning posts about what a great candidate RudyMcCainBrownbackRomney et al are? Vulnerable seats? Anything?

You guys are still caught in sore loser sulking mode, but please don't change on account of my observations. It's so much easier to talk trash about those who cleaned your clocks, and it really does make you look most bitter and kind of flailing in desperation too.

If you guys want to remain in the minority again, please continue to obsess over people who aren't running. It's great fun to witness.

Mmm, Jaku, Last I heard, Mr. Bush isn't running. So why your obsession with him? Answer: You're a hypocrite in addition to being a very stupid troll.

Gore isn't running. Kerry isn't running. Bill Clinton isn't running. Jimmah Carter isn't running. Just so you would know.

But continue to look into the past to console yourself about your party being further and further marginalized in the national spectrum.

It really won't help you win in 2008, if that's your concern. But around these parts it doesn't seem to be which is fine by me.

The term troll gets thrown around so frequently here whenever you cannot offer a decent rebuttal, but I understand your frustrations lately. It's okay, maybe someday after they have purged their party of bible thumping wackos and K street scumbags, maybe the GOP can be the conservative party again that favored a balanced budget, respected individual rights and stayed out of the nation building business.

Until then, you can flail and complain like test animals in trapped cages. It's so much fun to witness.

Jaku: some of us are, in fact, obsessed with the thought of how close those yahoos (Gore & Kerry) came to becoming Commander-in-Chief - so believe me, we arent going to sit by quitely and let other yahoos win in '08 (Hiliary or Obama or Edwards). Besides - Gore/Kerry arent necessarily "past" - Kerry just recently blew his re-run and as I've said before on this blog, I firmly believe that Mr. Al (Oscar/Nobel nominee) Gore will be the democrats nominee. (And the name 'Algore" has a great ring to it - sort of like 'Lurch' for Kerry.)

Well, they didn't win. Bush won, twice. You know that don't you? T he great Decider is in the captains chair, so aren't you relieved that such a strong headed, articulate adult is Preznit?

I thought you love to boast about your victories, but it's getting harder and harder to find a professed conservative who has much positive to say about the Decider. Hell, even his own party is starting to stay away from him in droves.

Notice any of the votes in Congress since they started? Notice how many republicans have broken ranks and voted with the dems? Bush, once trumpted as some great visionairy leader, is now political poison. Watch and see how many of the GOP candidates up for re-election are distancing themselves from him and his failed policies like the black death.

Kerry is a terrible candidate, I argree with that. He was in 04, and thank gods he wont run in 08.

Gore on the other hand may be the trump card, especially if he picks Wes Clark as VP.

Jaku et al - you may have noticed that many conservatives have not been major supporters of some of the actions Pres Bush has taken and the criticisms from the right have been forthcoming. Unlike the left where they defend every swinger that utters the leftist diatribe no matter what flaws they have. And sure, we have those RINOs that huddle up with the dems, but dont believe for an instance that they are our mainstream or that we back them. Wes Clark as VP - nice touch - shows that you guys like somebody from the military. I think your best bet for VP is Bill Richardson.

Plus, just because someone runs for POTUS and doesnt get it the first time doesnt mean they are out altogether. Nixon and Reagan both ran and lost in primaries before they eventually won and I forget if Bush threw his hat in 76, but he did stake out for POTUS in 80.

And Jo, you said Oh how the liberals do love to rewrite history. You cried for a bit?

True enough, but after all that crying and bitching, they organized very well and hit the streets. they learned their lessons well and kicked the crap out of the GOP last time around.

You're right, I am not the editor here. I am merely curious why I don't see more positive spins for your own side and your own candidates but JT and Kim can write whatever the heck they want.

Fine by me. Keep up this strategy and it will do wonders for you in 2008.

The left learned their lessons the hard way, by losing three in a row but you can only lose so many times before you don't want to anymore.

I guess the right hasn't learned this just yet.

What lessons? I thought democrats excuse was that conservatives don't win, they just steal elections. You guys need to get your stories straight and be consistent with your "excuses."

Anyway, good of you to admit you were rewriting history. Any time one makes the assertion that liberals handle losses in a mature fashion, deserves to be laughed out of the room.

Most politicians are acting like a bunch of jackels. I can understand the Demo's, but the Repulicans make me sick. Bush might not be doing everthing the way you, or I, or anyone else might like to see things done, but at least he is doing something, and not spending all of his time blaming other people for his problems. It's easy to sit around and critizice other people, and say how things ought to be done, when you don't have to suffer the consequences of being wrong.

As far as voting for him again goes, I haven't seen anyone on either side that I would pick instead. Especially not that Asshole, McCain.

The right doesn't have any viable candidates yet, that's why. McCain's numbers are falling when he's paired against either Clinton or Obama, and Guiliani's numbers are falling the same way - and Clinton and Obama are gaining voters, meaning thay are actually taking voters away from the Republican candidates (source: Newsweek poll).

Romney is so far behind it's isn't relevant, and Edwards is slipping against both Guiliana and McCain -- but he's the Democratic 3rd stringer, so who cares?

I'm sure Wizbangers will start talking about their candidate, once they have one who has a chance of winning.

The man could have stared-down the Texas cops with all his Federales at hand, but as you and I know: if there is even a SCINTILLA of danger in it for Cheney, Cheney will revert to Default Wussy Mode and pretend he's just "stubborn". You must be using the Karl Rove math method.

49 Dem senators, plus two Indies(liberman and sanders) who vote with the Dems make, uhhh, 51!
That's what we call a majority, albeit very slim.

The GOP lost 6 and the Dems gained 5, goodbye Santorum and Allen, hell that was worth the price of admission alone to see those two idiots get the big boot. Especially Allen, what a dumbass.
