Prison Break starts in less than an hour here on the East Coast, followed by "24" at 9 p.m. EST.
Last week on "24" we saw an attempt on the life of President Palmer and watched Chloe annoy the heck out of Maurice over his drinking (gosh, Chloe, he spit it out already). Last week's episode was, in my opinion, a snooze fest until the final few minutes. Hopefully this week's episode will be a little more exciting. Yet to make an appearance -- Ricky Schroeder, Martha Logan and Secret Service agent Aaron.
I am a really big fan of Prison Break, and last week's episode was exciting as usual. The previews make this week's episode look pretty exciting, as well. Feel free to use this comment thread to discuss either show.

I am so glad the hanging in... (Below threshold)1. Posted by Lorie Byrd | March 5, 2007 8:05 PM | Score: 0 (0 votes cast)
I am so glad the hanging in Prison Break was unsuccessful. That just seemed stupid to me that he would trust that lying creep to take care of his family if he had died. As if he would keep up his end of the bargain.
I just wonder now if the agent knew the guy would never be successful and the attempted suicide is part of a bigger plan.

You're right. Prison Break seems like it has a tighter plot, though. Sometimes 24 feels like it's made up as they go along.

24 and other programs with some violent content actually face a serious future censorship threat from a little known FCC report that strongly recommends that all violent programming before 10pm on broadcast TV be regulated or banned by Congress.
Since FOX only airs between 8-10 on weekdays, this would force programs like 24 into a new 10pm time slot which would bump local programming such as early news, or else force programs like 24 off broadcast TV onto a sister cable station like FX or even off the air entirely.
The V Chip, a content based ratings system, have both been added due to both the FCC and Congress, but neither seems content, and more layers of government regulation are likely in the near future that will likely impact programs with some violent content that air before 10pm. The very popular 24 is always held up as a prime example by the antibroadcast violence crusaders in the FCC and Congress.
