C'mon people. Obviously the people in the crowd knew she's faking a drawl. From the sounds of it, the crowd was eating it up. I'm sure everyone in the crowd (assuming they haven't been under a rock for 20 years) knows that Hillary does not have an accent.
GW on the other hand, frequently uses a Texas drawl that sounds totally fake to me. Ever wonder why he has an accent, but his brother Jeb does not? Neither of their parents has an accent either.
So where does GW's accent come from? Answer: it's faked in order to make him seem more likable. If you ever notice, depending on the crowd he's speaking to he uses it more than other times. In particular, he likes to leave off the "g" as in walkin' talkin', etc.
Bush is the one who's faking it. Hillary was just playing the crowd.

Ziggy, so true. One time even the hysterical libby Chrissy Matthews asked aloud why Al Gore and Hillary Clinton both talk to their audience like they are a bunch of 3rd graders.
Maybe b/c that is their intelligence level? lol.

This whole Hillary thing is the same thing as John Kerry walking in the hunting store and asking "Can I get me a huntin licence here?"
Didn't work for him and won't work for her.

Come on guys, cut her some slack. It's not easy to go from a Southern Belle from Arkansas--though she wasn't, to a life long Yankee fan, back to a Razorback fan when they won the national championship....and lest we forget she is a Jew too! And she was for the war before polls showed she should be against it.
It's not easy being the "Weather Vane" candidate....pointing to whichever direction the wind is blowing...

I don't care what she was doing, what she did was sound like a jackass with his balls wrapped in barbwire. Just keep the clip and play it a few thousands times across the South during the next campaign. When we true Southerners get done puking we'll vote for someone else.

WTF with the Leftist spin on Hillary's mocking tone?
There is absolutely no reason on god's green earth that ...say...Mitt Romney would have been given a "pass" like Hill has if he were in front of a Chinese audience and adopted a fake Chinese accent (think Rosie O'Donnell's "ching ching chang chung" schtick) and then tried to pass it off as only quoting a passage from The Kitchen God's Wife.
And that's leaving aside the HUGE double standard by the MSM when it comes to Democrat candidates shamelessly campaigning in churches.
Larkin? You're an idiot.

Darleen - that's a poor analogy.
It would be as if Romney used a New York accent when he was quoting Rudy. It's not offensive, it's actually an attempt at humor.

Thank you Darleen for asking the question that no one else did.
Why do Democratice candidates get a pass while campaigning IN CHURCH?
Why does the church get a pass on allowing it?
In 30 years of regular church attendance, I have heard one message on the political process - 'people should involve themselves in their community as their conscience dictates' - but the church has never endorsed any candidate or allowed any candidate to speak there.
Then, I turn on the news and see the Democratic flavor of the month campaigning in churches during services.

Everyone's missing the point. This is not about whether it was fake or real, or if it was a joke or politics. This was the classic Democrat M.O. to tell your audience what they want to hear, show false copassion, and make promises you never intend to keep.
This is Hanoi John all over again. She has so many faces, she doesn't even know who she is anymore. I wonder how this southern act will go over in NYC?
I guess she thought she was down on the Ole Plantation again. She is so full of it, it's coming out of her mouth.

I can't believe I'm siding with jp or Lee on anything, but you guys are way off here. This entire bit is shameful. There is far too much to attack Hillary on rightfully to be almost lying about this.
"How stupid she thinks her base is," and such... come on. As soon as I heard how BAD her accent was, I immediately went to see if she was quoting someone else. You can claim that isn't what this is about, but it was -- especially when it was on the top of Drudge.
