Dear Dylan:
Make sure those insurance premiums are paid up before you lay a finger on that memorial.
You'll be needing them.

I'll bet "dylan" will be laughing his ass off about the reaction his single comment on an Indymedia thread has garnered among the more, shall we say, hysterical bloggers on the interwebs, especially if a bunch of you show up to "protect the memorial."
Why, some anonymous person could leave random comments about defacing memorials and other such icons sacred to those prone to such hysterics just to see you all come running. It requires almost no effort but sure does get people's blood up, and may actually get them out in public for those expecting them to point and laugh at (and take pictures of, surely).
Have fun at the protest/counter-protest, kids. Can't wait to see the photos, from both sides.
Wolverines!

signs of intelligent life? (a response to "Dylan"):
"That is really stupid, almost as stupid as ANSWER. Look if we are going to do something useful fine but spray painting a memorial is just going to piss people off and not really change anything..."
... good on ya' for making such a statement!
But, wait ...
"... however if some paint might land inside a recruiting center or a corporate building, it would at least be better."
So, don't go after the memorial, but, if we can vandalize something else, so be it. And heck, it may be a hoot!
Leave it to those who bark about restrictions of civil liberties to be the first to violate the law.

Sounds like there will be opportunity to coverse with those who hold a differing opinion on what America stands for and what our foreign policy should be. as well as the intellect and honesty of our national leaders. Probably best wear gloves as there may be an chance for some boxing. All in good fun of course. Hopefully the authorities will restrain themselves from interferring in any boxing lessons being given.

Dan's right, paint does not taste good and I bet it's particularly bad in enema form.

Uh huh.
Listen, if anyone defaces the Memorial (which, as I recall, was VERY unpopular among right-wingers to begin with), it'll be a right-wingnut - just so there'll be something to blame the "libruhls" on.
What a bunch of jackasses!
