Well, it started out as a potentially funny piece of satire (seriously, I was encouraged for about ten seconds) but then it devolved into a sadly unfunny and disjointed treatise on "what I hate about what I think all liberals believe," by Mary Katherine Ham.
And with no effects whatsoever (nice '50s moral prop film aesthetic) she still managed to spend more time on it than the "scandalous" 1984 Obama ad, I assume. ;)

Agree with mantis. And the only kinda funny part (the cat toss) was replayed again and again, not for comic effect, but because they assumed their robotic audience might not realize that IT'S NOT A REAL CAT!

So that is Ms.Mary Katharine.com, she should do more on-line presentations.
Maybe, down by the pool, hot weather attire would be nice.
Great job.

Even more humor for the rest of us as the knee jerk liberals jump right in to criticize. You guys just never do tumble to the fools you make of yourselves. Amazingly enough. All this time spewing negativity and not a inkling of your ill humor and your misplaced attention.
Tsk tsk.

Surely you joke. Seeing her in a bikini would make any decent male puke. I almost got sick when you posted that. Do they make bikini's that big? God I hope not.

You have to hand it to Rosie.
Rosie has body symmetry.
Large over-blown ass, large over-blown mouth.
Small pea-sized intellect, small pee....never mind.
Ugh

Pretty sarcastic jabs at stereotypical environmentalists by Ham. The jab at Gore was pretty pointed. Nice one.
The part with the cat was somewhat, well, stupid. I know she was trying to be funny, but I don't know any people who claim that it's a good thing to "free" domesticated animals by throwing them back into the forests. But I could be wrong there.
Also, I don't know too many self-proclaimed environmentalists who drive Humvees. Most of the ones that I know either don't own cars, or try to ride bikes or take public trans as much as possible. Can't fault them for that.
Of course, there are always hypocritical people, on all sides of the political spectrum, who say one thing and do another. No news there.
The disturbing part is that this little video piece makes it seem as if Ham thinks the entire environmentalist movement is a crock of shit. Hopefully, that's not what she thinks. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to realize that it's a good idea to keep the environment we live in as clean and healthy as possible. It's not about "saving mother earth" as much as it's about keeping a hospitable environment for humans to live in, IMO. But people conceive of it in different ways...
Basic environmentalism: Don't shit where you eat, i.e. don't dump toxins in the river that you fish in downstream.

Yeah, you are wrong. The reference to the baby polar bear in Germany (Knut) was a direct reference to animal rights activists saying he should be euthanized rather than live raised by humans. That really happened. This week. Thus, the cat scene.
Also, I think you're reading a bit much into my opinions on environmentalism in general. I don't oppose the idea of keeping the earth clean, but it's worth pointing out that those most often lecturing the rest of us are often doing a much poorer job of it than the rest of us.
