Presidential spokesman Tony Snow is undergoing surgery Monday to remove a small growth in his lower abdomen, a procedure he said was being done "out of an aggressive sense of caution" because he had colon cancer two years ago.Mary Katharine Ham comments on the reaction of some at the Huffington Post.He said Friday that cancer tests have been negative since the growth _ about the size of the tip of his small finger _ was discovered in his lower right pelvic area, but that doctors decided to remove it to be sure.
"Please do not leap to conclusions about this because we don't know what this is," Snow told reporters. "We know it's coming out and I know I'll be back soon."
Snow, 51, had his colon removed in 2005 and underwent six months of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with colon cancer. He and his wife have three young children.

In fact... ha! Snow doesn't even have cancer! He's just trotting out this "growth" to temper the sympathy Edwards was getting!

Lorie apparently takes issue with "the reaction of some" on the left with Snow, but seems to pay no mind to "the reaction of some" about Edwards right here on these very pages. No surprise there.

The vast majority of posts and comments on Edwards from the center and right have been sympathetic and filled with best wishes and prayers. Brian is projecting his own internal hate on others.

I love the way Tony schooled the entire clueless W.H. press corps on the detainee bill. David Gregory still doesn't understand what the proposed law was.
It's astounding that Tony could be so clear and completely forthcoming, but the lib slobs couldn't figure it out. And, Tony's not even a lawyer.
And through it all, Tony repressed what must have been incredible frustration that he was, in essence, having to school these pathetic creatures who believe themselves the vanguard of our "Right to Know." And he conducted himself with class.
