Just for giggles, I thought I'd check out Katie Couric's Staff's Notebook, and see what Katie's staff had her say. And it is surprisingly interesting.
It seems that Katie's staff has decided to join the Fox News slander of Barack Obama (I believe that's the liberal talking point phrase used to describe the reports, based on interviews with childhood friends and acquaintances) and repeat that he "prayed in mosques" as a child. And he prayed in Catholic churches, but it wasn't "serious" prayer.
As I read somewhere else (but can't recall precisely), this is, in a way, a step up for CBS. With Dan Rather, they were running bogus stories -- and when caught, insisting that they were "fake, but accurate." To go from that to presenting others' stories and reports at least improves the accuracy of their stuff. In the courts, plagiarism is a civil matter, while fraud is criminal.

Katie Couric:"Is America ready to accept a candidate who grew up?"...She should have stopped there...You are right it really is pablum...So much for CBS relying on their own flossily written stories.

Whether or not Obama is apostate is not material; what's important is that he is presumed to have thought about the matter. Has he? Where does he stand about it all? Inquiring wingbats want to know.

Hmmm..Looks like there is going to be a severe shortage of producers at CBS.
But as long as there is someone willing to take the bullet for perky Katie, this will be pretty much SOP.

If Thornburgh persuaded them to stick to torts instead of crimes, then CBS got their money's worth.

She was close, almost on the edge, thinking about, just couldn't actually begin, telling the truth. BDS will lead to a full blown member of the religion of murder (who supports terrorism, including the murder of you and your family, but lies about it) being elected president of the U.S.
Osama Obama is like all Islamist, a lie is the same as the truth as long as it leads to the death of someone not of the Islamic faith. Katie is an enabler.

I would say that none of this matters because Obama isn't going to be elected to the presidency. However, I then remembered saying that Jimmy Carter didn't stand a snowballs chance in hell of being elected to the presidency.

Fox "News" (sic) put up a quote by Barak Obama truncating the first for words. The ACTUAL quote was:
"I think that nobody wants to play chicken with our troops on the ground."
Fox put up these words next to a picture of Obama:
"...wants to play chicken with our troops on the ground."
Reason 1001 why it's absurd to think of Fox as "fair and balanced."

Hmmm, sounds like Ric Kaplan, great friend of the Clintons and newly hired news producer at CBS is already doing what the Clintons, err, I mean CBS paid him to do.
Will Obama boycott any CBS debates? 60 Minutes?

Hate to tell you this buddy, but in your haste to make Obama a clandestine Muslim, I think you heard the comment wrong about praying. It says he prayed in a mosque but did not take it seriously.
Maybe you need to pay a little closer attention, eh??? I am shocked, shocked I tell ya, that none of your conservative choir read the article and corrected you...

Maybe he could tell us how he stands about all this. That's one tactic of a politician when faced with deliberately misleading errors. Of course, he's not much of a politician.

Just thought you should know that CBS has altered the original text about the Obama piece. Corrections are now noted, but original text has disappeared. I have the word-by-word changes at my blog: hightechparent.blogspot.com

Allow me to point out once again, that the article did NOT say that Obamma prayed in CATHOLIC churches, but not seriously. Why are people chosing to ignore this critical fact from the piece. It changes the whole context of the piece, does it not? Shame on Jay for ignoring an obvious error.
