Patricia Taylor Buckley, wife of William F. Buckley, Jr., has died in Stamford, Connecticut, at age 80. Mrs. Buckley was regularly named to the Best Dressed List and was inducted into its Hall of Fame.
My condolences, thoughts, and prayers for her family and friends.
I started reading National Review 25 yrs ago and fell in love reading William F. Buckley. I also gave in later to a guilty pleasure of reading Vanity Fair and The New Yorker. I would notice Pat Buckley in the "party pics" of Vanity Fair and see her mentioned in her role as a philanthropist. She was slender, beautiful, and classy. Whenever Bill Buckley mentioned her in his writings it was full of respect and love.
Those who live such long and full lives are blessed indeed. God bless the Buckley family.
