Several newspapers are reporting that Prof. Librescu, who was a Holocaust survivor and Israeli citizen, blocked the door with his body so his students could escape.
Greater love hath no man than he lay down his life for his friend.

Thanks Kevin. The first thought should always be for the victims and their families.

Um,I've not seen names released by CNN, Fox, etc. (as of 9:03PST) How are you guys getting names? And have the names that are posted been confirmed by the police and other officials? I see there's one name that seems to be confirmed, but the others?
Might not be in the best interest of the families to be saying who's dead and who's not without official confirmation.

This is so sad. Know your pain is felt in Canada as well.
Heartfelt condolences to ALL families and loved ones, including those of the shooter. They too are in pain today regardless of what happened.
How tragic that a survivor of the Holocaust ended up dead trying to save other innocents.

It is well documented that disturbing questions remain over the incident at Columbine. It is clear that authorities had prior knowledge of what was going to happen. Observers were in the area hours before the shooting took place. Articles from the Associated Press stated that ballistics from Columbine show that six of the thirteen victims were possibly shot and killed by Jefferson County SWAT.
