What many on the left fail to understand is terrorism is phsycological warfare. Where terrorists are successful in directly influencing politics (Spain 3/11), they are equally adept at influencing politics indirectly such as causing as much mayhem in Iraq in full view of camaeras for CNN and the BBC.

As a matter of fact, when Bin Laden, Abdminijhad, and other people who applaud terrorists activity quote Michael Moore, Cindy Sheehan, and various Demorat pols, one has to give pause to who is the actually dupe in this whole debate. Bush's failure to prosecuate this war properly is not the flip side of the same coin of actually sharing a common meme with the enemies of the US (who were avowed enemies before Iraq by the way).

The funny thing is that the MSM speaks of the mayhem caused by the terrorists in Iraq and around the world, talk about our failed foriegn policy, interviews Abdiminijhad, report about Iran and Syria's involvement with Hezbollah/Hamas' actions against Israael and Lebanon, but fail to mention these same parties support the Democratic Party.

What I read on this site is interesting rhetoric, to say the least. I read "dummycrats", by one intellectual. A rousing claim that dems fear a "Republican success". And a post says that terrorists are waiting for a dem in office so they can attack unabated. WTF is this all about? First and foremost, any person who says that GWB has a positive affect on society is not only blind, but deaf and cant read. Cmon, I mean what has he done? Repub or Dem can see that he has totally thrown us into a situation that cannot be "won". The only way to militarily end the threat of terrorists is to kill every last muslim. Is that what is wanted? It is true that you cannot appease crazy people. But, no one ever looks into history to see why we are in this situation today. It is true that Israel has much to do with it. But the way the West has laid plunder to so many civilizations for their own advancement is the true culprit. And I as an American am just as responsible. But it can be reversed. Not thru killing all who disagree, but thru diplomacy and a true change in value and direction. We cannot kill them all. Impossible.
