One of the many issues on which John McCain is hiding his plans from the American people in is regards to Social Security. It's an important issue to a lot of people.... a lot of Americans are counting on Social Security being there for them when they retire.

Seems that the McCain campaign folks never bothered to license the music they were illegally exploiting for free featuring in the videos. Updated and Bumped: They did it again - the second time in two weeks. Apparently copyright laws are among the laws easily ignored by the McCain camp. Third Update: They did it again and now they're being sued.

none of the three "major networks" reaches even so many as 3% of Americans.
which is still several times the amount that the top rated cable news shows reach. Now if your talking American Idol there is a ratings bonanza.

The difference being that cable news is on the way UP, generally, and broadcast is on a downward spiral.
The biggest loser here is Les Moonves. He's the guy who became CEO of Viacom/CBS, who was then demoted to "co-CEO" with responsibility for CBS only, and then was spun off with CBS by Viacom as they wanted to shed dead wood.
He's the guy who made the deal for Katie Couric. It's as if the Yankees signed Roger Clemens to lose 15 games . . . at a premium price.
Of course, both CBS and the Yankees hoped their big "free agent" signees would deliver the goods. The difference is that the Yanks have a reasonable expectation that Clemens can, based on his 348 wins and performance in recent seasons. Couric had the equivalent experience of being the PA announcer at a minor league park . . .
