For a few very exciting seconds there, I thought we had a shot at the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978. No luck this time. Maybe next year.

Sabers and Senators overtime was not shown (at least here on the West Coast) on NBC because that Fn midget Bob Costas had to do his 90 minute run up to the Preakness Race.
