The Anchoress says we should take those on the left up on their offer to impeach the President. I personally think it would be almost worth it just to be able to say President Dick Cheney, but the Anchoress is making a much better point. She went point by point through the Joy Behar list I quoted from in my Townhall column today. Read all of the Anchoress post -- I really wish I had written it.

#6) Bush's little goat.
Anchor forgot to mention that Bush stayed at the school for over 30-minutes (after he was notified) and maybe for even an hour after the first attack. If you consider the US was in a state of war do you believe that an elementary school was the safest place for the President?
If you believe, as was reported at the time, that the President was a target, and that the Presidents agenda for the day was public knowledge that hiding in a school was in the best interest of the nation and the children?
Wont somebody please think of the children!! Commander and coward.

Something about the the phrase "President Cheney" gives me comfort.
So, if this impeachment gets traction, I can enjoy a President just like the one we have: one who does not defer to the David Gregory's of the MSM and acts on principal; one who has already "been Somebody" per Reagan; and, a President who can truly say KMA , and not worry of the consequences of,to the Surrender Majority

You always need a history lesson so go look at this (all facts) and learn a little about how peaceful the Islamic religion of peace was even prior to 9-11. (http://www.terrorismawareness.org/know-about-jihad/) What has happened since we went after them. We have fought a war where more people are killed by drivers with a cell phone stuck in their ear every day than are killed in combat in any month. That's real effective warfare and I salute the men and women fighting it, and those that make the plans.

Barney, get your story straight. On one hand you say Bush was "hiding" at the school and on the other you say he was putting the kids at danger because everyone knew that is where he was. Both are not possible. He could not have been "hiding" if everyone knew he was there.
Anyway, there is this really cool outfit called the secret service and they wear snazzy black suits and dark sunglasses and talk into these little "Britney mics" and they do security sweeps of the places the President visits so I am pretty sure the school was well secured. What was probably more risky was figuring out how to safely move him from there until all the planes had been grounded and/or accounted for. Don't you guys realize that when you start that "My Pet Goat" talk you only show how unserious you are about the subject. There is absolutely nothing Bush could have done that day that would have satisfied those on the left. You would gain a whole lot of credibility if you did not find fault with every single thing the man says or does.

8:51 a.m.: Bush arrives at Emma E. Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Florida for a photo op with 16 second graders. He is there to promote his administration's new bill on education.
9:05 a.m.: Andrew Card walks up to Bush while he is listening to a Goat Story with 16 second graders in Sandra Kay Daniels's class at Emma E. Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Florida. Card whispers in his ear "A second plane has hit the World Trade Center. America is under attack."
9:30 a m.: Bush, speaking to the nation from Emma E. Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Florida, says the country has suffered an "apparent terrorist attack" and "a national tragedy." He would chase down, "those folks who committed this act."
9:45 a.m.: Bush's motorcade leaves the Emma E. Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Florida headed for Air Force One at the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport.

So, yes, obviously I did not forget that commercial jets were the weapon. That is why I included that sentence in my comment. You must have just skimmed over that part. In fact, Clinton met with Monica more times than with some of his cabinet members.
I wonder what Clinton would have done on 9/11 had he been president. I wonder if he would have been in a school at all or might he have been in his office with an intern under the desk. I guess as long as it took him less than 7 minutes to put it back in his pants it would have been cool with all those obsessing over My Pet Goat.
